to the noobs out there that dont take orders...

I am tired of your incompetence taking orders from me (which you obviously don't freaking take), your commander. You, for lack of worse term, shitfuckheads, need to learn what it means "STOP HUMPING THE freaking ARMORY BEFORE I CUT YOUR **** OFF AND GO INTO THE GOD DAMNED PHASE GATE!" Now, you may be a rare few that EVER hear me say that, but the game that just transpired had so many missing brain cells, I could not restrain my foul mouth from spraying my words of disgust upon the ears of my brothers, and you at home, reading this post. (Please forgive my bad mouth). Now, another tip to noobs, humping the armory will make you go blind. You need to learn, since your new, you aren't going to kill more than one alien, if any. So, spending your time, humping the armory with the oh so very very small manhood that you have accumulated over the years, does not help the team, or the commander when a crucial phase gate is going down (getting chomped on by a skulk or two). Now, when you hear the words, "Go through the phase gate!" more than once in a manner considered urgent, you should drop what you are doing (humping the armory, you damn noob (no disrespect here whatsoever, just a little bit of negative reinforcement)) and click "E" on the phase gate. If you don't, I will cut off you balls and feed them to my dog. Also, while writing this post (obviously a little ****) I had an epiphany! The game designers should give the commander a means of punishing marines that do not do his liking. The punishment should be something light, but it would effect them. Maybe giving them a skin saying "Noob" or "Vagrant" or some other word that describes that sort of player. Another idea of punishment is to transform the "damn noob" into a female model wearing glasses, and the ugliest dress ever created. Anything that would make people laugh at them, demean them, make them feel like ****, would be good.

Now, in the morning, I'm going to regret making this post. And a little note to the noobs; thanks for reading, hope you learned something.

My bad...
Some of you may think I'm a bad commander now, and I treat people like this in all my games, but the truth is I don't. I only get ancy when a crucial part of the game flow is being destroyed by the aliens. In fact, when marines do well or not so well, I give positive reinforcement. It works, your marines will follow your orders easier and have a little bit more respect and trust in you. Your demeanor goes from "the guy making me do stuff" to "the man who respects me for what I am that tells me to do him favors". Unfortunately the last game, I gave as much positive reinforcement I could. I realized it wasn't getting through and that the game was inevitably going to be lost, so I started being a bad, bad man and telling disrespectful slurs slurs not suitable for children. And as a final rant to the freaking noobs (four of them), I hope you die a million deaths (... in.. Natural Selection, that is). Sure, you may be a good person out of the game, but you gotta learn to TAKE ORDERS. THAT IS HOW MARINES WIN. IT'S SIMPLE, IF YOUR MEN TAKE ORDERS MARINES WOULD WIN 80% OF THE TIME!

    Alas, this isn't the sort of post that will be taken well by brand new members of the community.

    I can see where you're coming from Hound, and I know how you feel, but this forum is intended to guide & support. It's also a primary source of enthusiasm for new players.

    This wouldn't enthuse me. It'd put me off.

    I'm a newbie and i gotta say the kind of pepole you talk about are not newbies but DUMBASSES. I mean good god you don't need 300 rounds of ammo when you die in 5 seconds!!! And another thing if your comm tells you and 2 other guys to rush a lerk DON'T JUST STAND THERE AND LET THEM GET SLAUGHTERED!! Don't kill the 3 skulks rushing at you alone FINNISH THE LAST 1 HP ON THE PHASE!!! WHEN YOUR BUILDING A TF AT DOUBLE RES DON'T START TO KNIFE THE FREAKING RES TOWER!

    First of all - I agree with you. Even as a newb myself, I get upset at people doing that. However, I know why:

    I am a newb/n00b (probably the former), and I hump the armory twice or thrice (to get to 100 - 125 in my LMG) and then run off - UNLESS I know we are in trouble.
    Reasons:
    * I am very good at taking down OCs from around a corner w/o being hurt IF I have enough ammo.
    * I have a very twitchy finger, and it HAS happened to me that I ran out of ammo while I was still quite alive and happy.
    * If I don't know the comm, running around with 50/50 is a problem. A n00b comm often ignores pleas for ammo, and then I die. I could have taken down that skulk, probably, but I die. Because I was neglected by the comm.

    AS SOON as at least one experienced player always joins marines (instead of going aliens with his friends) and does not make such mistakes for a vast majority of games, it will get better, because one can rely on the comm.
    But as long as COMMs routinely ignore my pleas for ammo (I am not talking about med packs - fine, I die, no problem), what am I to do? Running around w/o ammo is stupid, especially when close to a hive.

    While most newbies(a n00b is not a newbie) ARE humping the armory, some people doesnt. I am new myself and I NEVER take more than 3 extra clips at one time. Unfortunately, some idiot comms dont give a crap about people who are running out of ammo or healt(if you aint wearing a ha or hmg that is...).

    usually when im comming and no1 is listening, I give up and secretely get to lvl 3 weapons/armor, at all cost, as well as jps.. then i dorp shotties/jps and tell them to go have fun..

    After I loose a base or two due to complete ignorance, I say fux it.. and let them ahve fun...

    maybe i give up to easily... but i dunno when they take out your only hive your had of theirs with onos and you hear stomp.. I think tis time to have fun.


    and when it last too long i secretely recycle spwn portals.... That is when its a stalemate and theres no chance to win..

    i do know where you are coming from but don't teach budding commanders when they get frusturated to start swearing... not a good thing... but the thing about armory humping is right... i only stand there about 2-3 secs just to get a few LMG/pistol rounds but if the comm gave me a non-default gun that usually means that I can take a few seconds more incase I die than someone can pick up a full shottie.... but when the comm gives you orders newbies you gotta follow them without thinking..... well if they are really really bad like walk into a hive with 50 OC's and he swears at you for not doing it than its time to use the almighty eject buttton....... i hardly ever use that button thankfully..... such as in clan games don't get ammo at beggining.... go get a nozzle and request that you (and hopefully a partner) may come back and get ammo and have someone defend the node while you are getting ammo... it works wonders....

    Heh. Ok, actually the post wasn't really inteded for the people reading this forum; it was intended towards those four people that stood around getting ammo while a crucial phase gate was going down in a previous game. I know they won't read it, but by no means am I trash talking the noobs here (I know they are learning, much respect to them. I was hoping this to be more of a "commanders" point of view on people like that.) Anyways, sorry about my post having some reference to noobs reading it (not intended, I was a little bit tired and pis sed at the moment. Thanks for letting me vent out my frustrations, and hopefully give some new players insight on how to deal with commander orders, and maybe humping the armory. Sorry if I offended any decent people with my lude and crude ways of communicating, but I had to do it.. ... anyways - the big point of the post was to make new players think twice before going rambo and have a little less disregard towards the commander's requests. See, the commander is the one figure you don't want to ignore in NS. If you do, your doomed a lose.

    I play aliens a lot, and personally like it when you get the whole marine team humping the armory. It is like a slaughter fest. Fun stuff.

    Well you've opened my eyes, I'm not really a noob, got ns a few weeks ago and I'm pretty good at it. I use to always hump the armory (full lmg and pistol), but now that I know how frustrated comms get when I do that I only get 150 ammo at most.     Good, I'm glad you learned that getting full ammo is a bad thing. You should only get no more than 150 ammo because you most likely will NEVER live long enough to use up all 250. It times when the base is getting attacked or when you need to get to somewhere fast, I say get no more than 100 ammo or just don't hump the armory at all because in situations like that, time is of the essense.

    Don't get full ammo unless your sick of running out of it. Try to predict how much you'll use...

    Typically I'll get the full 300 bullets(no pistol ammo) because I know I'll use it. Nevertheless a great message to n00bs who aren't that experienced at killing skulks/gorge/lerks.

    If you're going to take out hives with a group of marines, full ammo.
    If you're just going on patrols, 50/150 and 10/20 is sufficient
    If your commander is screaming for you to get through phasegate, 50/50 10/10 is more than enough for that moment.
