Marine Victories?!

ive been playing on mr men and roobs lately, and marines are really starting to get their act togeather, good comming and good teamwork is all it takes for a great game, even if marines loose.
i really like what flayra did in making the marines the underdogs, this is the way natural selection should be! its much more filmic/ epic than 1.04 ever was.
marines should be constantly under attack from wave after wave of alien, and it should be a struggle to make ground (think of aliens movies).
now it means somthing to win as marines, its a victory well earned and theres a real sense of achivement.
at first i was really dissapointed with 2.0, i used to enjoy the challenge of aliens, but all thats changed is the reversal of who is expected to win, it forces marines to work togeather, utterly frustrating with a rubbish team, but madly rewarding with a skilled team.
I played a game today on roobs, where we had been pushed back to double res, they had 3 hives, they were constantly attacking with waves of xeno, spores and onos, and we somehow managed to crawl back to taking gen, then vent, and finally sewer. It was quite possibly the best game of NS ive ever played, and it was because we worked so well togeather! and i need not tell you this is the essence of ns (or so im led to believe).
anyway, to sum up, marines should be the underdogs, it makes total sense with regards to the style of gameplay NS offers, now if there was only some magical way to make new players instantly understand this, along with all the subtleties of NS play everything would be perfect.

I agree, there was never anything in NS 1 that is as rewarding as a hard earned win against a determined alien threat. I have always favored the under dogs, and now that marines are the under dogs, I haven't been able to pull away from them.

Marine victories are the best.....it just feels so good to beat down a bunch of cocky people that think they own on an unbalanced team....but 2.1 will change that.....make victories on marines more frequent and less rewarding, but I dun care.
