Model remade from scratch, yet still got the same texture and details...

    What Was the original polycount? And can i have a better screeny. Like eyelevel from the side?

    Original polycount was like 200 or so.

    Well, right now, im doing only Marine stuff, since you obviously have less of them in the maps.

    But the alien stuff, especially the chambers, i am not so sure.
    High end computer or not, a high poly chamber (like offense/defense chambers) are seen all other place in many "walls of lame".

    Our comps can take it, but HL can start to choke.

    Besides, they alien stuff already looks nice. if i do eventually change them, it'll only be a minor upgrade.

    you screwed the originals height to width proportion.
    This makes that good model look ugly.

    I doubled the polygons of some alien-models and smoothed them, but as soon as I copy the compiled mdl-file to my NS it tells me that the model has been modified... but hey, it really looks better <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> I'll try again with the new NS 2.0 models and post them.

    I think too many poylgons for each model will kick everyone's pc *grin*

    hmmm, me and 3 other guys who all have this all have proplems placing phasegates while commanding, the game tends to look up while placeing phasegates, im not sure if this is the modle, but we are pretty sure it is

    not me i played with my friends on our server and i droped like 50 phase gates in one room just for fun it was alot of phase gates i got screens

    I once put around 1000 phase gates in marine start on hera (Probaly not 1000 but it took up the whole marine start!)
