Messed Up Crosshairs

<div class="IPBDescription">I see a cross, inside a big black block</div> I am a newb to this game, like most of you out there...and i have a big question.

When i play as a marine, i have crosshairs, but they are surrounded by a big black square, which can not be seen through, so i dont really know wut i am aiming at. I'm trying to dl 2.0 again, but i dont know if that will work

please help me...

    Either the installer/ns is corrupted or you tried to install custom crosshairs and FAILED MISERABLY. (Just kiddin' <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> ) But yes, try re-installing NS or re-downloading it from Fileplanet or Redphive (trusty mirrors).

    You are running software rendering. In order for the crosshairs to show up completely and the right way, you have to run OpenGL.

    Yup, thats the solution.. this or something like this should be stickied
