Explain This Metabolize Thing To Me

I'm a tad confused.
Ok, what I origionally heard about metabolize, was that it was some sort of magic healing, that takes the damage you're receiving and turns it into health... kinda like the marines are shooting health-bullets instead of damage bullets.

But it doesn't seem to work that way when I tried it.

But then I read that you had to be standing still, and that you could blink in, hurt some marines, blink out, then matabolize to heal... And that makes it sound like the metabolize ability is a "produce your own medpack" ability.

But that doesn't seem to work either...

So what is metabolize supposed to do, and how does one make it do it properly?

It heals you. That's all. Like all oher healing, it heals your health first and then your armour. Originally, it was going to convert damage to energy (or something), but this idea (apparently) got scrapped. You don't have to be standing still.

All you have to do to use metabolise is select it and use it. It's your two-hive ability. It heals per use; it's not something you activate and deactivate. Have fun!

You might also be referring to the fact that you were playing on an older server with Adminmod on. If it's your server, you're in luck. You can update Adminmod with Adminmod 2.50.56a that includes Metamod version 1.16.2. The older Metamod was what caused the problem, not enabling fades to use Metabolize. The new Metamod included in Adminmod 2.50.56a fixes that problem. Hope that's it! Enjoy a great game and hope to see you on the servers!

Um... no. Not quite. You can just click and hold down. You can't gain health faster by clicking like you're firing a pistol.
