Bug?

<div class="IPBDescription">not a tech support issue</div> I purposely didnt post this in the tech support forums cause I am NOT looking for a solution...I just wanna see if anyone else has had this problem...

Since I installed 2.0, I have noticed that I sometimes spawn into the geometry. Sometimes when I am just joining a team, or if I am respawning in game. I'll be inside the world and everything will be all weird until I actually come out and I can start playing. This little glitch doesnt occur for more then 2-3 seconds, and it goes away every single time.

I guess my question is, would this have something to do with my video card, or is this a bug that happened when I installed NS 2.0? Any GENERAL information would be nice about that =) Danke...

    I have the same grapic bug.
    its like a hall of mirror after 1 meter distance from my view that changes its shape when im close to a wall.
    Guess its a z-buffer bug in the mods light enhancement code.

    The laggier im on the server the worse it is. On extreme pings and lag spikes it also comes during the game, but most times it fixes itself after 5 seconds when it comes at a new rounds start.
    Try to get a ping of 1000 by downloading stuff and this effect will happen more often and longer.

    Ive seen opther ppls screenshots of this so it might not be because of my:
    Specs: Geef2 GTS, 600 mgz slot-A celereon, openGL.

    Yes I have encountered this, and as you say it goes away after a few seconds. A bit weird, but I've noticed no other adverse affects.

    Im not worried about it, there are a lot of bizzarre things like that when you start. Sounds and graphics are always messed for the first few seconds.

    yeah the same exact thing in that screenshot happens to me too. it didn't happen in previous versions of NS. i have a GeForce2 GTS.

    That's tearing. It has to do with V-Sync. Don't worry.

    It's a lag bug. I get it for about a minute or two when I join a server. (Getting Cable tomorrow <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->)

    I get this too. Sometimes when i join a server and then join a team straight away, i´m kind of halfway between readyroom and the team. It says i´m waiting to spawn in....but i´m already walking in the spawn with strange graphics.....wierd.

    thats exactly what I am talking about. One of my friends was completely convinced that it was my video card drivers and that I was a tard for letting that error happened. I tried to explain to him that this started happening when I installed NS 2.0 and I never changed my drivers.

    No, it definately isn't tearing. It's very similar to the effect you get when you noclip through the wall in an FPS, and are inside of something.
