On the subject of female gamers, it has been my experience that MOST female gamers are more attracted to MMORPGs than FPSs, for example, anyone here ever play the game Furcadia? It's a straght role paying game, no combat system or scoring, no real point other than to play and have fun, but there are girls EVERYWHERE. I'd say there are at least as many girls as guys, sadly my comp likes to lag when I try to play so I can't really get into it that much.

Dr.d lies. Yes I did play with said dr.d, another girl actually showed up too, so now he knows we exist. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'> Dr.d even got to meet two guys that fit into the "jerks that like to ruin the game for girls" section. I can now say he is well versed in the playing of NS with girls. That might be true.

I played Castle Marrach on skotos (a pure roleplaying game, even combat is roleplayed), and I believe over 50% of the players were female.

An extremely funny game too, if you have time for such.

I think the reason why people get the conception that video games are only a guy thing is because a lot of video games are violent and violence is something males are attracted to. This is a true fact, male babies will rather watch their dad shave their chins than watch their mothers put on make-up, whereas it would be opposite for the other sex.

For me, I played video games, because I was attracted to the thought of blowing stuff up and killing my friends over multiplayer. There is a stereotype that girls are most likely attracted to girly things, like make-up, their beauty, gossip, socializing, dissing other girl's for the way they put on makeup and dress like a ****, but I know this isn't true, because my sister is totally the opposite.

I really don't give a flying ****, who plays video games, it is something that should be enjoyed by everyone.

I suspect most of the girls playing Furcadia are actually guys in disguise.
