Hello, The team at NS Movie is continuing our efforts of making a full length actual cinimatic movie using Natural selection, but we need more help. Along with voiceactors and scriptwriters, we need various custom animations, and more importantly, custom mskins. Since we have several well developed characters with individual traits and personalities, we cant have them running around like clones. We can differ them slightly by giving them different weapons and armours, but we still desparatly need custom skins(old or new, you can recycle your old skins). The skins need to go with the general look of the marines, but still quickly reconizable.
And to make it all work of course, we need someway of selecting the skins. What we cant have is 10 identical custom skins running aorund, we need to be able to use each skin at the same time in a game, this might require the modding of NS.
So if you have any old skins you wouldn't mind being used in this project, or if you would like to join the team and make new skins, or if you could try and help us in anyway trying to overcome the obstacle of currently not being able to select skins, Or if you would like to help in any other way(Give suggestions, help on the webpage, help write the script) PLEASE post here and drop by our forums

You could just re-texture the skins, would be easier than re-modling
Well, we have a script in progress... I'm pretty much the head Screenwriter... Just need more creative input to speed it up a bit.
If you have a lady marine we would really apreciate it. The script has several ladies in it
The trouble with a medic is that we just cant ge **** to work without A LOT of custom modding. I suppose we could make one character a medic but jsut never show him healing anyone(People would get healed, but with camera angles we could make it a over the shoulder shot while hes crouching)

Character name: Anderson
Approximate age: 23
Gender: Male
Race/Nationality: British/American (whichever voice it happens to be)
Physical characteristics (Build, endurance, agility, reflexes, etc): Physically reasonably strong and TSA enhancers help with this. Extremely agile and gymnastic, but would probably tire if pushed for long periods.
Personality and history: An ex-planetary colonist, until the rest of the colonists were wiped out by a Kharra infestation. He survived by locking himself into an escape pod, and blasting off. He is one of the few people to believe in the Kharra on the team, having seen them first hand, if only briefly. In combat, it is quite likely that he will wish to kill Kharra simply for revenge rather than to protect himself, however he will be extremely protective of his friends. He hates the thought of what happened on the colony happening to him again.
Relationships: Friend of Zepher
Plot Role: Central to main plot.
Subplot: Has feelings of guilt for running away and letting his family be slaughtered, so must make peace with his troubled past.

Character name: Zepher
Approximate age: 27
Gender: Male
Race/Nationality: African heritage, from a heavy grav world
Physical characteristics (Build, endurance, agility, reflexes, etc): A large person, heavy build. Extremely strong due to his place of origin.
Personality and history: Thought the TSA would be a laugh, and joined up to 'kill the alien scum!' Loves heavy weapons, and often asks for GLs or HMGs. Would be well at home in a HA suit, probably wouldn't even slow him down. Goes a little combat mad on occasion, spraying areas with fire until he runs out of ammunition.
Relationships: Friend of Anderson
Plot Role: Anderson's right-hand man. Despite being the crazed killer type, can still sit down for a friendly chat with Anderson from time to time.
Subplot: Could be killed off partway through to give Anderson more motivation

Character name: Lieutenant 'Medpack' Magrath
Approximate age: 20
Gender: Male
Race/Nationality: European
Physical characteristics (Build, endurance, agility, reflexes, etc): A little weedy, best suited to being in the CC. Low physical fitness level for a Frontiersman, but not amazingly out of shape.
Personality and history: 'In charge' of Beta Unit. Earned his nickname Medpack because that's what his people are generally asking for. The rest of Beta Unit think that he is too young and inexperienced, and don't respect him much. Some are more vocal than others about this though. Would probably panic if sent into a combat situation in the field with weapons firing next to him instead of on a viewscreen.
Relationships: Love interest in Barker, Dislikes Paradim since he would make a better commander (Not mutual). Hated by Rodin.
Plot Role: Commander of Beta Unit. Center of several conflicts.
Subplot: Will probably later develop a dislike for Anderson, due to love triangle with Barker, and attempt to get rid of him, along with Paradim and perhaps Rodin.

Character name: Rodin
Approximate age: 22
Gender: Male
Race/Nationality: Mongol
Physical characteristics (Build, endurance, agility, reflexes, etc): Above average in all aspects, but no areas of excellence.
Personality and history: Detests Medpack, after the last mission they were on flopped so badly, leaving only Medpack, Darknight, and Rodin left alive out of Beta Unit. Loves shotguns, and gets one whenever possible. Is also the only one in the squad with experience on the new prototype TSA Jetpack. Yells a lot, sometimes trys to direct battles from where he is. Doesn't know the new guys very well, so doesn't trust them much yet. Had relatives on Sanjii, so believes in the Kharra and hates them with a passion. Might even go crazy on them if he came across them.
Relationships: Hates Medpack. May later develop friendships with other characters
Plot Role: One of the few veterans in Beta Unit.
Subplot: Will probably attempt to sow dissention, turning the rest of the unit against Medpack.

Character name: Paradim
Approximate age: 29
Gender: Male
Race/Nationality: English
Physical characteristics (Build, endurance, agility, reflexes, etc): Average build, height etc. Tactically excellent though.
Personality and history: Respected and admired by the others for his interpretations of doctrine, he has demonstrated a strategic mind better than any of the other. Remains cool in even the worst of situations. Will be instantly thinking up something to keep the squad alive, and can always see the bigger picture. Most of the squad think he should be the designated comm, instead of Medpack.
Relationships: Disliked by Medpack, but does not return that feeling. Possible love interest in Yamen.
Plot Role: Cool-headed tactical genius. Will often direct the squad out of difficult situations.
Subplot: May attempt to mediate between Medpack and Rodin. If Medpack is removed, he might take over as commander.

Character name: Barker
Approximate age: 21
Gender: Female
Race/Nationality: Asiatic
Physical characteristics (Build, endurance, agility, reflexes, etc): Athletic, can run very fast and is very agile. Not that strong generally though.
Personality and history: Probably the most psychologically stabile team member, besides Daring. She was brought up in a 'good home' on Earth and had the best of everything. She wanted to do something to really make a difference though, and so joined up with the TSA. Very by the book and regulation.
Relationships: Love interest in Anderson, which will probably become mutual. Pursued by Medpack.
Plot Role: ?
Subplot: Part of love triangle with Medpack and Anderson.

Character name: 'Darknight'
Approximate age: Unknown, probably mid 20s
Gender: Male
Race/Nationality: Seems to be Russian
Physical characteristics (Build, endurance, agility, reflexes, etc):
Personality and history: Refuses to tell anyone about his background, and is very cold and calculating. Some believe that he saw the Kharra first hand and was scarred for life by it, but no one knows exactly where he comes from or anything about his past. Permanently carries around a pack of mines, saying that it will save his life again someday. No one quite knows what this means. The others don't really like or dislike him, since he doesn't socialise, or speak much. He is the unit's best shot though. Survived the last mission, and doesn't seem to blame Medpack, but it's very hard to tell what his feelings are on the matter.
Relationships: None. He's a loner.
Plot Role: Will probably save the squad later in the movie with his ever-present mine pack. Also an amazing soldier when he actually exerts himself.
Subplot: He will be the subject of rumors and gossip throughout the movie, and his past will be revealed near the end. It has been suggested that he is somehow a genetically-enhanced soldier, possibly containing Kharaa DNA/bacteria. Not decided yet.

Age: 18
Gender: Male
Race: Half Chinese / Caucasian
Nationality: Asian
Physical
Characteristics: Incredibly fit and fast. Of above average strength but not very big-sized because of Asian origins. Joined the TSA 6 months ago and has never seen combat before. As such, he's very newbish and has trouble relating to more experienced combatants. However, is not shy to ask when in doubt and express opinions. Emotional and tends to follow orders blindly because of lack of combat experience. Tends to let impetetous nature get better of him sometimes when under extreme stress, but not often. He's a complete follower and unexposed to leading. Treats senior squadmates with respect and admiration. Wants to rack up kills, thus more a butcher stereotype. Grew up in a well-to-do family, but enlisted with the TSA because of impulse. Wants to kill lots of aliens and be a hero. Wants to serve humanity too, can't stand the thought of the human race being overrun.
Just came out of college, played rugby for 5 years too. If weren't in the TSA would most probably be a professional rugby player. Because of the collision sport he plays, he is brave yet sometimes stupid (e.g doing something that normally would be courageous if not for the fact that there is another option that is half the pain, twice the effectiveness.) Very loyal but kind of withdrawn. Trustworthy (in-spite of his one-tracked mind), polite and annoying at the same time.
Fits into the New Guy stereotype but is brave, stupid, and amazingly loyal (e.g Running into hive to save a teammate even if he only has a handgun with 10 bullets and combat unexperienced.) A good shot though. Passed marksman training with flying colours.
Relationships: Will latch onto and idolize one of the other squad members.
Plot Role: ?
Subplot: Not respected by the rest of the squad due to his youth. Later in the story, will have to prove himself with a heroic act, possible self-sacrificing.

Character name: Quiver
Approximate age: 30
Gender: Male
Race/Nationality: Australian
Physical characteristics (Build, endurance, agility, reflexes, etc): Average in all respects, but he does have very quick reflexes, and is often the first to spot things.
Personality and history: A genius at technology, is constantly working on new equipment. Hates to move around on his own, and gets very scared if forced to do so. Least accurate with a weapon but very enthusiastic. The squad often give him building duty, or guard duty. Almost always has a welder. Sticks close to Paradim, using him as a kind of security blanket, knowing that he will get the both of them out of bad situations.
Relationships: Friend of Paradim?

Subplot: ?

Character name: Captain Macmaris
Approximate age: 32
Gender: Female
Race/Nationality: Scottish
Physical characteristics (Build, endurance, agility, reflexes, etc): Fit and could easily fight in combat if it became neccessary. Always carrys her standard issue pistol, just in case.
Personality and history: Captain of the UCC Bast, and in overall charge of the mission to space station Nothing. Proffessional, and good at her job. Is willing to give the new Beta Unit a chance, and is probably the least prejudiced against them out of all the Bast's officers.

Physical characteristics (Build, endurance, agility, reflexes, etc):
Personality and history: A bossy 'drill seargant' type, in charge of both Alpha Unit and Beta Unit. Holds Medpack in some contempt.

Approximate age: 26
Gender: Female
Race/Nationality: Irish
Physical characteristics (Build, endurance, agility, reflexes, etc): TSA fitness standard.
Personality and history: Officer in charge of Alpha Unit, the Bast's other marine squad. Arrogant, and likes to make comments about the 'useless' Beta Unit. A reasonably capable commander, but nothing special. Alpha Unit are percieved as a better investment, so are often sent in last, and with heavy weapons included, because they are though to be able to survive better.

Bigbull, Drake, the characters that would fit you we haven't got anyone in mind for yet. However, if you want to act, you MUST audition, see the site for details
Beast, wewill be having at least one character skulk, there may be other 'characters' it is as yet undecided.
Those models could be very useful, any modelling assistance will be appriciated.
