Siege Cannons

do they do collateral damage?
Do siege cannons hurt aliens that are next to an alien buildable when they attack? The reason I am asking this is that I was using the Manual Siege plugin, and a siege cannon attacked an alien offence chamber and destroyed it (normally, not manually), and the gorge that was standing next to it died as well. I'm trying to determine whether this is the way NS normally works, or whether it was my plugin malfunctioning...

Yep, seiges have a pretty massive blast when they fire.

Yes, with the splash damage, sieges are good to brake down walls of offence and defense chambers, killing the target and still doing substantial damage to others nearby.

If the system wasn't changed, the actual ring of damage is flat and two-dimensional only. In other words, if you're above the level of the ring when it goes off, you don't take damage (which is what gorges did in 1.04 by sitting on top of defense chambers that were being sieged and healing them with no damage taken to themselves).

also watch out in tourney mode as you can be killed by your own siege

    damage is massive and 2d.

if ur wol is under attack, sit ontop of a chamber and heal it or run away during the gaps in firing

Yes! Try standing next to the blast the next oppotunity you get.

I found that out the hard way

Was on siege007, had a welder, swept the siege room entrance for cloaked buildings, found a sensory, kept on welding said sensory. Then *BOOM*!
Got blown up by my own siege, said 'WTH??' over global, server jerked from all the LOLs being said.

I don't remember that being in the change logs either...
