<div class="IPBDescription">NS techno mix</div> You can get it at:
<a href='http://mobianwarrior.tripod.com/monster/hostiles.ZIP' target='_blank'>http://mobianwarrior.tripod.com/monster/hostiles.ZIP</a>
For some reason with me, it only works if you copy/paste the link, rather than clicking on it.
EDIT:
<i> Tyralion was nice enough to put up a <a href='http://www.ville.nu/hosting/hostiles.ZIP' target='_blank'>MIRROR</a> link for the song. If the first link does not work, use this one.</i>
/EDIT
I did this to learn my new software. It is nowhere near my best piece of anything but, I figured my test song might as well have a natural selection theme.
<!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo--> This server has a very low maximum bandwith and will shut down if overused for a day or so, so please don't be download happy. Spread it out <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> dono how you're gunna do that but...
ANYWAY, in this song listen for:
NS theme song clip
Fade, marine chatter, skulk genocide, scan sweep, the old siege fire, hive chatter, distress beacon, spores, um... and other stuff
Primely, in the middle of the song: the drums get really heavy. Suprisingly, the really bassy drum is the shutgun sound effect. You'd never know. Also, in there is the old "spit" sound of the grenade launcher before 2.0, all as drums.
Oh, and skulk bite. Can't forget that <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
- Enjoy. Someone get it on NS Radio, and tell me if you do.
aaaand dono, read my unofficial transition piece from 1.0 to 2.0:

The Tripod page you are trying to reach has exceeded its hourly bandwidth limit. The site will be available again in 2 hours!
Thank you!

Heck I got to this a few hours after I saw it got put up and the bandwidth was already shot, he didn't lie about it being low. I guess I'll just wait till a mirror from those lucky first few, sounds like a good description, I gotta start modding the NS ambience music again...
Very nice work indeed that you used all those different NS sounds to sound like a beat. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
I have some constructive critiscism and that being that you should include more sequences (like the one in the beginning) so that there isn't just drums and skulk bites in the middle. Like an ambient sound in the background. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Again, nifty song.
And of course:
<b><span style='font-size:15pt;line-height:100%'><a href='http://www.ville.nu/hosting/hostiles.ZIP' target='_blank'>MIRROR</a></span></b>
I'll make a good, decent, thought out piece as soon as I get the chance. Thx again - <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
BTW, the song kicks a$$

Agreed. If I was making a singleplayer map/mod for NS, I'd beg you to give me a modified form of this soundtrack without some alien sounds for use as background music. It's that good.
This would be awesome music to use in a Natural Selection video/demo/commercial. =).
Oh man, I'm putting this in my "Music" folder for NS, because you can hear everything around the aliens, so it won't get me.
You did a GREAT, WONDERFUL job with this man. I love the feel.
10/10, 100%, Kick-**** product. D/L this, PLEASE!
Also, if I were you, I'd contact NSPlanet or something like that, and have this song go into their "NS Songs" page.
I take my hat off to you.
Great song! =D
Exactly. But it's still cool.
Now... If you could make a longer version, about 5-6 mins long, with more beaty/dancy bits, i'd be able to get it played at my local cyber/Industrial club (theres at least one other NS player who goes there)..
Please?
pwetty pwease?
Noticed some of you commenting on the musical structure in this. It... has very little. Since it was really just my test of sound consepts, this was all it was meant to be. But, like I said, I will actually compose a "real" song as soon as I get time. I'm actually suprised people liked this as much as they do.
So... w00. Thank y00
