Do you guys think a place like this actually exists? If so, then *pulls out can of beat-down*.

We actually discussed this a while back...and we all believed it, the whole thing to consider was, "What kind of idiot parents would do that?"

    Hmmm....

To me, there IS a difference between child abuse and discipline, but I won't discuss that here.

A prison for badly behaving teenagers... or is it just the parents' opinion? I can't imagine who would have the money to spend on this kind of treatment...

It isn't a bad idea if the right people are sent in. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Only the rich get there, while the majority of the problem lies in the middle-below-middle classes. So yeah.. subject rich kids to humiliating treatment. Maybe they'll change, if they are stupid. They could act if they were smart.

    Nope. Complete failure.

Personally, I think this is a good idea if no mistakes are made. Anyone talking about them beating the kids: Did you even read the article? They break them down mentally, not physically. Personally, as long as mistakes aren't made, this can do good. As long as part of what they teach them is to form their own opinions, instead of being zombies.

I've seen this on one of those TV talkshows. Basically, the place is torture. There's some sort of concentration camp in case you're really bad, where you're forced to do hard labor for the jamaicans. Life is hell there. I would much rather send my kid to boot camp then that place.

The reason it's run on a far off island is because "Jay Kay" has been banned from running similar businesses in many states. Besides, the jamaicans get free slaves, and jay kay gets cheap land. Kapish?

Breaking people down mentally used to be called brainwashing. How can you psychologically torture people and expect them to be nice and balanced afterwards? The only thing that sticks in such environment is capitulation for fear of punishment. That's pretty far from having any opinions of your own.

An actual degree in child psychology is still encouraged before taking up a job where you have the very real chance to **** someone up for the rest of his life.

It exists. Sadly. I'm not going to discuss it any further.
