Ns Lags And Gets Tons Of Packet Loss

<div class="IPBDescription">Every other HL mod doesn't!</div> like the topic says, i am getting lots of packetloss when i play ns, and my ping jumps from 40 (what it should be) to like 4000. Also i get that damn CL_FlushEntityPacket, and HL crashes a little after that. Then i go over and play any FA/CS/DoD server and i have myself one stable connection. WTH I tried different servers AND reinstalling NS... both didnt work.
I run a 1.5 Gig Pentium 4
512 RAM
Geforce4 4400
i play on cable... and it is blazing fast for everything BUT NS!
