Where Are All The Servers Going?

In the past month Ive seen a decrease in servers, I use to get around 7-14 servers to join with my preference settings set to 100ms or less and ofcourse 2.01, now its like 2-7 all day every day.
Im mainly assuming this because school just started here in Canada, not sure how it differs over there in the US but it must be around the same time, it could also be that some servers are waiting for 2.1?, Im really not sure.
Hows it going with the rest of you? you must have noticed it.

try the next one up and you'll get those inbetween. i.e, 110ms, 120ms, etc...
The purpose would be to find servers.
226 with a ping of less than 100.
But its allways been about that for me in england. Plenty of low ping servers
it may be your connection getting worse showing less with nice pings.
god darnit, i want to go back to the US, I use to live in Dallas Texas, now im thousands and thousands of miles away from all the good servers *cries* nooooooo!, oh well <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
I use ASE. About a week ago, I stopped being able to refresh servers for some reason... either that, or they're ALL comming back at 9999 ping, which is highly unlikely. 492 servers are pinged, when I hit F5 with only "Natural Selection" selected. None of the version specific boxes are checked, no nationalities are checked. Only modifier is "No Password" which is reasonable enough.
Despite it saying 492 servers being refreshed, only 8... yes, EIGHT show up. None of them are white, saying they've actually been refreshed... all report a 9999 ping. 95 servers are filtered out, and so when I deselect "No Password", 95 passworded NS servers pop up. None of them white to show that they've been refreshed, all with a ping of 9999. If I hit F5 now, it says it pings 644 servers, and yet only 96 show up, none filtered out, and all still gray with 9999 ping.
Now, here's the fun part. I can "Add server" manually with an IP address found on these boards or on readyroom.org or whatever, add it to my favorites, select the favorites folder, hit F5, and those I added manually refresh as they are supposed to, turn white, give me an accurate ping, and let me connect. All that good stuff.
Now, since the servers I've added manually are good servers with competant player bases and the occasional tactical genious commander, I have no problem only playing there... except sometimes these servers are full, and I just want to play. I'd LIKE to be able to see all the servers.
What's wrong?
if yout cant find out for sure, theres no harm in uninstalling and reinstalling ASE to default all its options.

Just gotta say, our connection in Canada is just fine <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> The main problem is really low pinging NS servers require a lot more power, so much I bet some people either dropped theirs, or upped player limits some once they found out their 10 1.0 server could hold 16 players on 2.0 for less server load.
And guess who usually ends up hosting games of silly mods like ARCHL? Well, me <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Perhaps you have your filter set for 2.01a,b or c? The latest 2.01 build is "d", so make sure you're searching for that.
I'm on DSL near Ottawa, and at 3:06am, have 37 non-empty servers which I ping less than 100ms to.
<!--c1--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->1 if clients == "0" remove
2 if game != "ns" remove
3 if mp_version != "v2.01d" remove
4 if ping > "100" remove
<!--c2--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--ec2-->
Give that a shot as a filter, and report back :o.
What firewalls are in place? Have they had any rules altered? Does your ISP block any ports? Have they changed their policies recently? Presuming all the servers didn't crash simultaneously (lemme go on a limb here <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> ) we then have to travel down the circuit & see where the problem first appears.
