<div class="IPBDescription">but, i have a sligtly problem.....</div> I am using 3ds Max to create models, i got both smd importer and smd exporter.
And my problem is, i imported the Marine reference smd and modified the mesh a little. But when i export the reference smd file and compile it with all the other necesarry files for the model to work, the model is kinda "frozen" in-game but it moves around along with the weapon model(p_model) which is in its normal place.

My problem is as evil as an <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='skulk.gif'><!--endemo--> and you guys are the <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo--> who are going to kill it. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

Please help me, i would really appreciate it <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    that's happened to me once before...some error locks the animations...sadly, the only way to fix it that I've found is to start over <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    No, i dont have to start over again. This problem happens everytime i try.
    I think the problem have something to do with the skeleton.

    If you modify the mesh, you will most likely need to reattach it to the skeleton.

    The skin modifier doesn't work in HL, you have to use the Physique modifier. Unfortunately you will have to re-assign all the verticies to the proper bones from scratch.

    I'm not sure if there's any way around this.

    Since you're doing player models, why not <a href='http://home.insightbb.com/~bghsurge/images/art/confref.jpg' target='_blank'>model this mother while you're at it</a>? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Hehe, dont think i can manage to create him, i even dont know how to make the model work.

    Can i use Biped skeleton or do i have to use the skeleton which comes with the model? <!--emo&::marine::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/marine.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='marine.gif'><!--endemo-->
