Cm Hotkeys

I read your pinned topic on cm hotkeys, it recommends changing them. I need to disable them, every time I use my voice comms (v key, which is what I have it for all my half life mods and it is in my finger memory) it recycles my buildings.

I tried to set cm hotkeys to "" in the config.cfg and next time I was commander it was back.

How do I permanently disable the hotkeys.

I am desperate, because of my finger memory I can't command in NS.

    umm, WHY DISABLE THEM???

    just change them

    open up config.cfg
    make it:
    cl_cmhotkeys "yuiohjklnm,."

    now you will be an efficent comm (trust me those hot keys can work wonders for speed) AND you can use voice chat


    also make sure the file is not read only

    No matter how I configure them, they interfere with keys necessary to operate. I do not see any advantage in using them. I moved them over to the right hand side uiophjk etc. Then I could not type team chat (u), so they are just a pain in the neck.

    I have found a solution that seems to work, I set all the hotkeys to p

    cl_cmhotkeys "ppppppppppppp"

    then I only sacrifice one key for the deal.

    I assume you could use most any key.
