Thank you to everyone who has taken a moment to do so today...
I darn near lost a second cousin in the Pentagon attack, and whilest we should remember every day as Obst has pointed out, for obvious reasons, today has significant meaning.
To Evil, please, go away, if upsetting people is what you like to do, then you have succeeded....
I had no connection (i knew a guy who knew a guy who was in an office there) , and i dont particularly care for human life, so i really cant explain it, but it does make me very sad. i still cant watch the newsreels without a tear.
I agree it had a message that needed to be conveyed, i only wish there wouldve been some nonviolent version of the message, but we wouldnt have listened to that.
I won't say amen because I'm not very religious but I will keep a silent moment for those who died on 9/11.
Also I shall make a new thread tomorrow for the people who died on 10/11.
And after that, I shall make a new thread every day because every day more people die in more horrible ways than those who died in WTC, but people are just too damn ignorant to let it bother them(I'm not blaming anyone here particularly).
I don't want to be the insensible a-hole to mock other peoples grief(I hope people here are really griefing instead of just casual posting) but WTC just seems so...insignificant compared to the big picture. I would like to continue but I don't want to turn this in to moralistic debate so I'll just withdraw and apologise if I have offended anyone.

That's why I hesitated to post in this thread and I'm not saying this is a debate. I'm just...wondering aloud what's wrong with people in this world. However your remark has been noted and I shall disturb you no more.

Well, I think too it has been blown too much up in the media, but I'll join you for a minute silence

Dread, un like most of those other people, these people tried to help themselves in life, and didn't feed off the hands of other nations like ourselves that constantly gave them aid. I'm sorry, I can't feel sympathy for people who live in poverty in other countries and don't do enough to get out of it.
For all those who died in any way shape or form or on any date they have my grief and their family/friends my sympathies. Either way I won't be involved in a silence, I'm sure the dead (if they'd known us) would've wanted us to get on with our lives.
The sad part isn't so much that so many people died in the incident, it's that someone was willing to do an act that would take so many people's lives no matter who they were, where they come from or the reasons involved.

So you think it's their fault that they are poor? And of course you work so much harder than those other people in third world countries that you deserve to have electricity, clean water and food?
That kind of bs just makes me mad. Although I think can't feel sorry for any dying human being anymore, excluding my close family members, I sure as hell don't think I'm somehow better than the poor people because I was born in where I am.

e/ -then I read the rest of the thread and find people have said what I’ve already said. I tend to agree with dread. Xzilen.. that was the most ignorant crap I’ve ever read. I'm disappointed when I read things like that.
Exactly what? I'm sure the villages in africa where those people died hold vigiles for them and remember them, and probably aren't commemerating 9/11. Just like we have no real knowledge about who died in Africa today.
This thread was supposed to be a simple collection of people giving their statements of rememberance if they wanted to

May all those who were lost and who lost loved ones find they're way to peace.
It's shame soo many innocents perished because of some religous mad man. May they rest in peace.

I am thankful that it didn't get any worse as it is. But guys, the worst is yet to come, seriously.
This thread was supposed to be a simple collection of people giving their statements of rememberance if they wanted to
it's been all these years.. and only TODAY did i fully absorb it. and.. christ... it's a lot to absorb.
i just cried my f***ing heart out.
i moved to california from NY in '99...
called everybody the morning it happened..
never felt so god damn helpless.. so small..
so i just left the classroom today, silent, but tears streaming.
just, sat outside, against a railing
just wincing and shutting my crying eyes
just remembering everything and everyone..
NEVER forget.
