<div class="IPBDescription">4 Screenshots+</div> Right I got a few new areas, and a 1 old area with some new lighting. I would also like suggestions on a name for the map (based around the fictional metal adamnatium) and also a name for the area in the 4th picture.

Adamantium Processing >> As you can see a adamantium hasn't had time to form and has leaked out at red hot temperatures!
<img src='http://mysite.freeserve.com/thursday_after_next/2.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
A sewage access slipstream
<img src='http://mysite.freeserve.com/thursday_after_next/3.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
Adamantium Containment Hive.Entrance to it, good for an Onos as there is an elevator out of the hive.

This area is as yet unnamed. Double res node here though.

    There should definitely be some light coming off the molten metal in that first shot.

    Name? ns_anotherrefinary <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Would suggest some more lighting in the first shot. Having the only lighting be the metal liquid forum, just isn't that effective I believe. Other wise, nice stuff <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I'd scale the lava texture up by 2 or 3 as well.

    The idea of that room is to be dark, to help conceal the aliens as marines will obviously be looking up high. The light comes from the lava, monitors, and 4 other white lights in the room.

    This *should* be the last screenshot of the day. I would have released it earlier but I wasn't happy with the red lightiny.

    First shot is kinda iffy out of all of them to me, I cant really see what most of it is. There are four boxes with no tops, looks very unfinished. Ropes or beams should be holding up the walkway, those being attached to the roof, if they were in the lava, they would burn, which really makes me think how the rest of the walkway in the first place is still standing...it should all be in if nothing is holding it up.

    Second shot all I can say is dont stretch the textures as much, they look really low quality some of them, and have some pipes running side to side in the roof, would add a lot more atmosphere. The entrence to the hive, also, should have the walls "infected" as well, they look too clean. Put alien_alpha1 in front of all them as a func_illusionary and it should look good IMHO, that textures useful for infesting other textures.

    Great work so far, only the first shot needs polishing, it seems you were a bit to eager to show off the lava in the picture. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I think you should use a fictional metal from the NS universe rather than from the X-Men universe.

    First Pic - Add some Yellow and Orange Entity Lights for effect, also scale that lava tex up to like 3.00 or even 4.00 no one'll be able to tell, by the time they get close enough... er they'll be dead.

    I really like the pipe texture in that hive <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> Did you make that yourself or did you find it somewhere?

    Yes, please choose a new name for the metal in your map, otherwise it'll seem too hokey to too many people.

    (And as a side note, I was under the impression that adamantium didn't get red hot...)

    yeah doesnt adamantium stay metal coloured when melted? like mercury. :o why not make it an aluminium plant, have that whole room with arcs of electricity as they make the alloy <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Looking good on all the screenshots, but the first seems slighty too quake 2 for me <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    adamantium isn't a real alloy, atleast, never in my wanderings <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> It derives from the word adamantine, which means (iirc) 'having the hardness of a diamond'. Also, adamantine is derived from the word 'adamant', which is not only the greek word for diamond, but its also a description of someone who's stubborn, etc <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    More-or-less, choose an alloy that really exists, to better fit in with a story-line <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
