Ns V1.0.4 Server.. Would You...?

<div class="IPBDescription">please, read this before you lock it ;p</div> First off - i'll say one thing. I love ns 2.0. I don't mean to bash 2.0 at all and say "OMG 1.04 was teh "elite".". I merely want to play some of the maps that aren't good to play now with 2.0 and the jetpack changes. ninja_fall etc.

I'm just wondering - if i was to badger someone into setting up a largish (24 ish player) NS.1.04.Backup server running the custom maps like ninja_fall, missilecommand etc. would anyone play on it?

I would definetly NOT play there...
First because of the "fun maps", second because 1.04 was not "elite" but unbalanced.
I also would miss the new maps and abilities.

Ninja Fall was a great map... It still is nowadays, but the Kharaa end the game in a victory so much sooner now that everyone can gorge and drop a res at the beginning. If someone would host a v1.04 server to play those custom maps (and the regular ones as well), I would play on it.

I would play on if...they were reg maps not fun ones, and if i could find a place to dl 1.04.(i deleted my backup)

YES. I would play there at least once everyday. Cuz it may be unbalanced, but it's FUN. Un balanced Fun.

EDIT: I would'nt really like playing on the "fun maps" Theyre usually not fun.

I wouldn't mind the occassional fun map... but as it stands I've lost my NS1.04 install file (and the backup). Anyone know where I can get a copy :/?

Ya.. Castlewars was great...
I still have my old 1.0 client.. just don't have all the maps, transfered most into my 2.0 folder.. Wouldn't be too hard to get back.

I miss people thanking their gorges.. Thats what I miss really. It use to be 1 gorge who did everything throughout the game... Like a commander. Now you have many temp gorges.. and its kinda sad... Heck, the last couple games I have played all I was gorge for 75% of the time up untill I went onos to help save a hive.
That and the old OC sounds... they would roar OFFENSIVLY. Now they kinda pshttt stealthily.. Like Ninjas. They are supposed to be offensive chambers, not ninja chambers... And the sizes. The turrets and OCs use to be huge and overtowering. Yet ironicly even though they looked powerfull, they were stupid.. Now they are small and smart <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'>
