This is a *MSPaint* contest Doctor J <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Thats not nice at all.
*sticks out tongue*

BoozeKitty. I would think that you out of all... BoozeKitties you understand MS Paint's potential power! (So Pontential was spelt wrong)...
There was a huge thread on this; and some people showed some pictures of what can be accomplished on Paint. MS Paint has a very large variety of colours; it's just that most people use the ones that are provided in that little boxy-coloury-shortcut-thing. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Bah! Don't go spoiling our MS-Paint-fun, Drake. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
i did use paint really
this is an earlier 1

*shudders* but its not anti-aliased and no matter what you draw it comes out looking like ****. No filters, crappy gradients, terrible support of color channels, lack of proper layering and editable transparancies, only a handful of second-rate tools. (second rate being a very generous description)
MSPaint is garbage. I used it alot growing up...and in school. I know how "powerful it is" but its not even a fraction of a percentage of photoshops glory.
My point is, you shouldnt limit people to a program that induces blood-vomiting. My eyes would never forgive me if I turned them to that icon of evil. Let photoshop entries in. For the sake of me and BioHaz.

You bring up a lot of points. And Photoshop is glorius; but MS Paint is FREE after all.
MS Paint is a VERY basic program with the most Basic tools possible. You can, however, 'manually' make MS Paint look better and such. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
But I really do hate to disagree with you kitty, but it <b>is</b> a contest for <b>MSPaint</b> artwork after all. As much as I am a fan of everything else for graphics editing over MSPaint, using photoshop for an mspaint contest is like using a HUMVEE in a cross country marathon while driving over the other runners... Its just not good sportsmanship. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

I wasnt entering this. I was trying to make a point. I dont see why anyone should be limited because another person doesnt have the tools.
I like the HMMVW analogy though <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Unlimited timelimit, eh?
You know what, Kitty, you're on. Seeya in 10 years from now. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Yes - you're right there. My 'Concepts' don't stand a chance against you. I drew them A LONG time ago, remember. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Hey for those of you who don't have photoshop there is a FREE alternative that isn't MS paint it's called GIMP ( GNU Image Manipulation Program ) it just a powerful as photoshop and <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo--> gasp <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo--> it's free, go download it.
<a href='http://www.gimp.org' target='_blank'>http://www.gimp.org</a>
Then hopefully my eyes will stop bleeding.

O,o
I feel i hafta step in here, for tha sake of sanity...
Booze..ur odd...it's not about limitations, or not having tools...it's a speciality competition...i mean, it's like having a Photoshop-only contest, or a Corel-Only contest....this is a MS-Paint Contest....kinda like those bartending contests where you hafta make like 6 drinks, but you can only use ONE kind of liquor for it....
mmmm..liquor..... <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
in any event, paint is a powerful tool, if you know what you're doing...Me and Owen proved that...
I guess I just dont get why anyone wouldnt WANT to use paint for anything anymore when there are SO MUCH better progs out there. It seems so...barbaric. Like surgery with a broadsword.
Oh well, to each his own I suppose. I think I'll have a drink now and try to forget I ever considered opening up MSPaint.
Oh, and btw...be warned...Agent Spiff cometh.

"Everything makes more sense when compared with booze."
My thinking exactly...lol..
as for why people use Paint when there's better **** out there...well, i can really only speak for myself....
I'm just so **** good with it...i'm comfortable with it...with paint, i can bang out diagrams for **** that would normally take me a few hours to draw on Photoshop (Admitedly, i'm not very good with photoshop...drawing with it is very frustrating for me)..so i draw, and do initial colorization with paint, then add in all other effects in Photoshop....::shrug:: this system has always worked for me...so i figure if it ain't broke, don't fix it...
