<div class="IPBDescription">My server was crashed....</div> Well, earlier today, someone by the name of Adolf Hitler, was on my server, cheating. Speedhacking, and aimbotting. Well, I told him to dispute the ban with me later, and banned him. Well after I banned him, he came straight back with another nick Hitlers son or something... and told me he had 753 won id's. So i banned him again, and again, and again. Until about the 15th time he came back as THIS_SERVER_IS_CRASHED and 5sec later the server shut off, forcing me to contact my hosting company to restart the server. How is someone able to do this, and how do I find ip addresses to ban people by. Thanks.

    Make sure you are using the newest HLDS, as the older ones contain a major exploit that allows anyone to crash a server. Also, add an ip ban for him, whenever I have problem people like this I wonid and IP ban them, I dont know how many wonid's they have but they usually only have 1 IP, except dialup users.

    Find the server logs, and trace his IP using a WHOIS facility. Mail the providers with the crash logs... server crashing is actually illegal and is prosecutable, hopefully this kid will get at least warned for his stupidity.

    ^^ doing just that and banning people like that with IP and subnet will do the trick unless they really know what they are doing but it will keep you good in most cases
