<div class="IPBDescription">Answer to marine turtling at the end?</div> Onos charge is a third hive abilty (just call me Sherlock) so, in my mind, it should be pretty damn powerful. There's a slight catch though, it just plain isn't. You might say "but you can escape quicker", but during turtling that allows you to attack for 2 seconds more max (assuming everyone is firing at you) also, you more often than not get stuck somewhere on the map/structures as you try to escape.
Gore is more effective at killing marines and structures, on a CC gore does the same damage in 3-4 stabs as an entire charge does as an adrenaline onos (which also takes a lot more time). To me, especially with the marines, this is counter intuitive. Say and elephant ran at you, you're dead if you get in it's way, instantly. But if an onos runs at you you have to get in it's way for 5 seconds or more (you have to try really hard to get killed purely through charge), and it's takes 3-4 times the time to charge a turret than it does to gore it.
It's almost embarassing to get killed by charge now. I think that charge should at least have double the damage it has at the moment for it to be a viable 3rd hive weapon.

but i find myself using gore and devour near the end game
Just do what most ppl do Charge (doing 160 dmg a second) and gore.
Even commchairs die quickly and they have uber life!
Get 2 or 3 Onii doing that and farms vanish faster than they can fire!
I've been playing since this game first came out to the huge public, but I never got the hang of charge (never really used it.) Is it like per second a person/object is touching you or you touching it that it hurts? But have you tried combining it with Primal Scream? I think you'll find it useful.
At 90 damage per gore, and two gores a second, you get 180 dps against marines and 360 dps against structures. Plus gore is easier to hit with and has more range then charge. Primal scream effects gore too. 160 dps isn't that great.

PS and Charge isn't as good as Gore and PS.
Even so, Charge is the the lv. 3 weapon of the most powerful alien class in the game. It drains all of your adrenaline. It requires several upgrades from two different chambers to make sure the attack will last. (D chamber so you won't die, adren so you can use it for longer than 4 seconds) Charge, simply put, should be the <b>strongest, fastest, and best attack the aliens have</b>. It should kill all and flatten structures. It should freaking anihillate.
It should deal 300 a second. It sucks <b>terribly</b> right now.
Riiiiiiiight..... You mock their stance as if you have the superior one (which you have yet to state). Don't be a retard. They have a very valid argument that with gore doing 180 damage per second, and charge doing 160 damage per second.... what's the point?
I usually go celerity onos, so then I'm quick, and then I never charge anymore, because since 2.0 it's been extremely buggy and useless. I sat there on 2.01e the other day, right next to a turret, charged, pressed forward, and did about 1/4 damage in the rime it took me to run out of energy. The very very very small damage it does coupled with the buggieness of charge in general, makes it a useless 3rd hive ability. It'd be more suited for hive 1 or 2.
The majority of your posts are in the OT forum, and I completely understand why.
