Which Steam Should I Download?

  well, what do you want?
  basicaly each one has Steam and possibly some games with it
  
  So, If you wana play NS you need to get something that has HL
  
  If you wana Play CS your are gona have to get one with CS
  For the rest either you own it or your DL it from there
  
  look, what do you wana be able to do with steam?

  I d/ld just steam by itself and went through all the motions of getting the Games....well it didn't work. I then Dl'd a 380mb Steaminstall_cs.exe and have gotten TFC to work through it finally. I also am trying to get NS to work but having more problems

  k i want to play NS online! and i also want to play DPB online! what should i download? and what is steam?? just a patch?

  I was told since NS is not Made for steam yet...(in next patch maybe) there are a few things you have to do...Here are the steps I ended up with after it was all said in done....So I installed the SteamInstaller_cs.exe-380mb and...
  
  1-Create C:/Steamapps/half-life...or
  where ever you have steamapps folder located.
  
  2-Install NS to that folder
  
  3-Copy over old Config.cfg to keep your old keyboard configuration.
  
  4-NS when you look under games will appear as 3rd party software
  
  5-Enter a server from the list...
  
  6-Type in alias "ex_maxerrordistance" "" in console to allievate a message
  that floods your console. To get in console hit esc. It will appear as a gray dialouge box with the server messages of kills/deaths and stuff in the box in real time.
