Sure, there would probably need to be some internal balancing. But it doesn't look like they'd have to change much.

Another problem that exists, and one that I mention every time this thread is brought up, is distinguishing the teams so you can quickly tell who is on your team and who is an enemy. Making one team brighter than the other (or a very different color) solves this problem, but then it also gives one team an inherent advantage of being able to hide in plain sight more easily.
Yeah, both have been done before very well in other games/mods, and I don't think it would be worth the effort to force the NS universe onto those game models when you could just play in a more fitting setting.

I completely agree, I could care less about mvm or kvk. Honestly, it just won't work out in any kind of an enjoyable manner.
But yes, the entire gameplay would have to be changed....
Here are only a few issues that would be needed to be worked out.
MvM:
- Turrets will be useless. 10 dmg a second is nothing to a marine that shoots 500 dmg in less than 5 seconds. 4 marines walk into a turret farm and mow down the turret factory without even needing a medpack.
- Electricity? ROFL that would be useless. "Oh no! I can't knife your RT's!"
- GL spam... would own other marines so badly due to slower movement speeds... GL's would have to deal 1/2 damage to other players to avoid it being whor3d.
- Jetpacks would probably be a lot more useful than HA as HA = easier target to hit and JP = way way way harder target to hit. And JP's would give much needed speed to the marine team.
- Shotguns... wouldn't be useful at all untill you get JP's, as there would be no easy way to close the gap.
- Knife fights would be hilarious <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
- Two teams medspamming each other = teams that drain each other too quickly. Commanders would probably be even more important than they are now.
AvA:
- Gorges would get owned hardcore by kamikaze skulks and there would be little other skulks could do to stop them.
- Skulk fights I'd imagine would be incredibly hard... if one person is about to die, he can just run away back to hive without fearing of getting picked off.
- There would be a balance between all of the classes, skulks would be the crap unit and so would gorges (but they would be essential as well), and lerks > oni > fade > lerk
- OC's would suck terribly against skulks...
- How would you be able to defend your hive easily? Other sucidal skulks can just keep rushing your hive..

Is this a confirmed fact?? Or just yeh they wanna have it and plan on doing it but nothing is happening about it at the moment??
Personally i have never been a fan of the idea MvM or AvA, i like the diversity u get with the 2 different teams.
I nevertheless would give it a go but NS:classic and NS:c will be on the top of my list.
