<div class="IPBDescription">Hmmm.</div> Why are you guys using a lot of old vets for the beta test. Most of the USA veteran clans have either been on an extended hiatus and aren't that much vets anymore or they have disbanded altogether.

Why not but some new vets in the system. I don't know, some clans that are more stable and dedicated to playing NS and are more top ten now. For instance, Exigent, TMM, FFT, evil, dn, etc. Sorry if I didn't mention your clan and you guys are pretty good, I just rattled those off the top of my head. I know all these clans have played in the pre-pre season cal matches(v1.04) and have done pretty good. Since they are still playing, they are really good. There should definately be a renovation of the vet system.

    Well for one thing, the current vets know what to do, they are experienced and trusted (in the testing process and for not cheating as well), it doesn't really help to stick all these new people in that have no idea what they are doing, and it takes a lot of work to redo a list that large, and I really don't think flayra has the time to. In the clans you listed there are a few vets, so I don't think they are totally left out.     Maybe it will be redone after the cal season is over, theres no real point for it right now.

    As if the CAL league is that big a deal.

    There are lots of other clans that can easily defeat anyone in CAL.

    He said american, CAL is the major american league, but right now theres only been 2 matches and 1 preseason which doesn't really show anything. If you are talking about clans from foreign leagues then there are already serveral clans that were also included (d/y, fwd. R18, DW and a few others).

    Yeah, Mosis does have a point, where's the sense in redoing the entire vet system for a small project like NS:C?

    When NS version 3.0 comes out, then I would imagine the entire vet system being overhauled...

    Some of fft is in the playtest already and they dont just use vets either. I'm not a vet, just a playtester. The fft clan members that are part of it aren't vets either they're playtesters too.

    also as is at the moment flay wants no changes made to the system. I beleive because they are gonna have to switch over the database of wonids to steamids which means alot of work.

    What NS 2.0 has been most unbalanced ?

    why NS with you it still as much of bug simple.
    (2.0 => bill bomb bug; HA in CC bug; devour weapon bug...)

    i'm sure ... you best, you use your time for all player.. and thx very much...

    But by moment one or two new eye of fanatic or don't ns player (just a proggrammor or skinnor) see another things sometimes so visible that one forget them.

    actually, "Jim has Skillz" and veteran and playtester have reasons and have twists...

    is strange no ?

    Flayra was apparently making changes right up to the release date. Instead of pushing the release date back (which would have caused the seemingly hundreds of impatient nutters out there to bite him to death), he let 2.0 out into the wild. He started on patches soon afterwards, though.

    its only umbalanced because that person needs something to lash out at the vets for his inability to test. Why bother looking at statistics, propaganda is where its at!

    Yes, many of the old vets would be useful for beta-testing. Chances are, they will be replaced with new people the same way as they got in, taken mainly from active clans and prominant community members (mainly server ops).

    The only way NS can be unbalanced is if you choose the wrong upgrades to counter act what the other team is doing. Not a lot people think about that probably but that IS the truth.

    Veterans are the Scapegoats, the public needs someone to blame for anything they don't like, in this case it is the veterans, however the public also forgets that flayra, nor anyone in the ns community owes them anything, if flay wanted to he could just delete all the NS code and wright a pacman clone, and no-one would have room to complain, except perhaps max(assistant code guy) and some of the other devs, for making models etc and not putting them to use.

    I think it's wrong of the regulars and new forum members to continually harp on the Vets+PTs. They do their best, we play our best. They let us play, we let them play. Simple. Stop being bitter, they played 1.1 before we got to, they'll get to keep doing this sort of thing. They were invited in, we weren't. Life is tough. Lately all I've gotten out of the forums here is "blah blah blah blah I'm the most important person." It's like the S&I forums burst and dropped its seed into all the other forums.

    I have always wanted to be more than a "member" of this community.
    But I don't care for clans, I have not seen 1 clan yet that I truely want to be in.
    so I will never be a vet.
    The only thing I do in this community is run a web site!
