Does anyone have any estimate as to when Natural Selection will be out to the public? I think this will be a great mod... I have learned that the beta will be released as soon as its finished, on MODdb.com says that NS will be finished real soon perhaps maybe even this weekend, is that true?

Kindly point them in the right direction, and if they start calling you names or whatever, give the Mod's a ring and let us handle it. You're not helping out all that much, and don't think you're earning brownie points either.
Give the guy a break, if you dont want to answer to a "when is it done?" post then DONT REPLY. No need to flame them, just let the people who feel helpful do it in a calm, civilised and more importantly, FRIENDLY manner.

They're used to buisnesses having set dates months in advance. Give them a break!
I'm getting pretty close to getting people temporarily banned for being so incredibly hostile towards newbies. So what if the question has been asked a billion times... Welcome them to the forums, and POLITELY point them in the direction of the FAQs. If you really want them to read the FAQs, don't even answer the question, just politely say "Go look over here..." or something.
Everyone needs to calm down.

Yes. I have to admit that when I saw the post count I was working myself up a bit, but when I saw other people's reactions I was honsetly shocked. Serioulsy, he was making a sensible intorduction and you really messed up. Also you'll notice that the ones saying the really bad things were pretty new round here themselves....

If you visit a popular message board daily, or even more frequently, and intend and expect never to see the same question twice, you're delusional.
Message boards are created for a few reasons. One, is a fast and simple way to get a question answered. I'm sure that we all don't go wild on our peers or family IRL when they ask the same thing more than once.
What may be obvious to you, or any who has been here for a while and knows how it works, is not obvious to every newb who sees the site and pops in the boards to ask a few questions. Not everyone surfs the entire site first, and I can garuntee that most of us never use the 'search' option before posting every single thing on a message board. We assume that if it's common knowledge, we'd know it. Point is, lay off. The question will be asked again, and again. If you don't want to see the same thing over and over, don't come to the forums. I mean, every little detail of NS has already been talked to death and the game's not even out. There's not that much more to post about, or talk about. At least we still have newbs to educate, who haven't seen every screenshot or read every post. I say, welcome them with open arms and be glad that there are indeed players coming here to learn more, instead of jumping in from CS and making the game a PITA for serious players when it comes out.

i cant wait for it to be released too, thats why im playing Battlefield 1942 :> HEHEHEHE i -almost- stopped thinking about NS for quite some time..!
I think we've got the message across. Let's call this a learning experiance and move on. No more hostility guys.
