<div class="IPBDescription">any suggestions?</div>My old coworkers were really nice and gave me a $45 gift card when I quit last week, but the gift card is for Wal-Mart. So now I've got $45 to blow, but no idea what I wanna spend it on...

I'm thinking I may pick up Wind Waker. I've beaten it before when I rented it, and right now I'm still working on Ocarina of Time disc (I bought that from a guy over the internet for $15). But I know Wind Waker is one of those classic games that I *KNOW* I'm going to want to be playing years down the road, ala Super Metroid and A Link To The Past...

Soul Calibur 2 was kinda nice, but I only play as Link and it was kinda getting boring before the rental period was up...

Or when does Final Fantasy X-2 come out? I might be done with FFX in a month or so, so I guess that one would keep me busy for 6 months or so...

I really wish it was a $45 Gamestop card, as then I'd just go pick up a used SNES and get some games :X

So many choices, so little good choices...

    Just dont use a walkthrough, or you might as well have never bought it. I used a walkthrough on both and I've regretted it ever since.

    Wallmart is a very large American supermarket type thing. Dont think its in any other country though....

    How much for wind walker btw? You wanna milk that voucher cause I suspect that if you dont spend more then $45 then the remainer is wasted.

    Oh, and Wal-Mart is one of the 3 evils. it really correlates to Diablo quite well.

    McDonald's = Diablo (Lord of Terror)
    Wal-Mart = Mephisto (Lord of Hatred)
    Microsoft = Baal (Lord of Destruction)

    Hmm do you have Homeworld 2 yet (Its realy hard though)? Or you could get a couple of good DVD's.

    OOOH and too bad you don't have a PS2 or you could have gotten Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution, the 20 dollar re-release with TONS of extra stuff in it... and then gotten one of Sony's $20 greatest hits titles like MGS:2 or Gran Turismo 3 with the leftover money. Oh well.


    When does the card expire? If you got a while why not wait fro something like HL2 or D3?

    My roomate has a PS2, so I have a PS2. (Did my clue about maybe getting FFX-2 cause I'm almost done w/ FFX not give that away? heh)

    Already got MGS2. If you knew me for more than 5 minutes you'd know that I'm the biggest Metal Gear fanatic here. :P

    I never did like the Virtua Fighters though, and I don't buy PC games from Wal-Mart as there are occassionally censored versions of games (like Half-Life supposedly)

    I think Microsoft = Bhaal (Baldurs Gate Series) (God of Muder and Death)

    Get the Baldurs Gate 2 Battle Chest. Should last you until the second coming of Christ.

    savage? I liked that game. But I'm guessing you mean console... Buying one of the GTA's for your PC would also be a wise investment. I've yet to regret getting Vice City, and it's entertained me longer than Freelancer ever did. Mmm, violence.

    Its an american thing, and if they are elsewhere, they must be going by a different name.

    There was a special GC version that AFAIK was only released as a bonus disk to people who pre-ordered Wind Waker (damn I wish I had known about it). That version came with the original Ocarina of Time, and a remixed version with dungeons in differen't configurations and such ala the original Legend of Zelda's second mission (or whatever it was called).

    Indeed. Although I bought mine from a guy who accidentially got two of them for $15 :P And the second quest is called "Master Quest" (ala Zelda 1) and it wasn't originally available in the states.

    we have a large set of stores over here
