Don't worry, though. You will soon know the maps by heart .. then the ventilation systems <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
Google search should do it.
but that was for 1.0x so wouldnt be of much help
Old maps go here:
<a href='http://www.ns-central.co.uk/overviews.php' target='_blank'>NSCentral</a>
AND NOW GET DOWN AND PRAY TO MEH!
i wouldn't feel too bad... I've been playing since day 1 and i still can't remember my way around some maps. There's one hive (archiving) which i can NEVER find if i need to, i run around until i come across it by luck alone.
there's a lot of forgotten res nodes and low image quality but :\ they're printable <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->.

I was the same way truly and completely. However that all changed when I found the c button a.k.a. the +showmap command. I used it to guide me to the spot, holding down the key till I got there. My K:D ratio went down heavily because I never saw the marines till I was dead, but I know the maps now...
And giving up a few games of NS to become that much better from that point on is worth it I think.
I find that analyzing top-down maps just doesn't get you anywhere, probably hurts more than it helps. just play the maps -- you'll learn them eventually.
try playing one map nearly exclusively, you'll quickly learn it then the map that comes before, and after it. the maps are all pretty similar in principle -- three hives, double res, some vents...
most maps have good texturing jobs to differentiate areas. but some don't. just continue to run around, and as stated, use the C key to see where you are, and look at the location name in the bottom left.. you'll soon associate them without trouble. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
those are just my suggestions.
