Using Parasite To Your Advantage

When I get parasited, I have found this extremely affective. I run to an area near their hive (ex generator if their hive is cargo on ns_nothing), and camp there. They typically rush you like all hell and I can mow them down pretty easily for awhile. It can keep their team distracted, and earn some res for your team. Warning: You will be unsuccessful with this without very good aim, and a sense of where they are coming from (you NEED to be able to use footsteps to know exactly where they are coming from)

It may work sometimes, if the aliens that is, are very new or just messing up.
As you said, it works if you got a good aim and good sense of direction from where the footsteps are.
But then again, if you got that much skill, why don't you just camp at their hive and kill them as they spawn or just run around with team as they cap nodes?

Having a parasite on you is like camping at a choke point, they come into your direction.

Isn't shooting their hive a distraction also?

In most public games, a single parasite isn't much of a distraction.
Nowdays, most aliens will pass a parasite as just a building or a lone marine.

However, in clan matches, most aliens will pair up, a single marine with parasite will not be able to avoid or kill 2 skulks flanking you.

You must have been opposing a few people who may have forgotten to creep up to you and not just rush at you full pelt into a trap.

On the same tactic as parasite, why don't you just keep spamming taunts near the alien hive, that would attract attention wouldn't it?

Sense of direction doesn't come in 2 play at all its just luck then, they could spawn right next 2 u and just kill u straight off, and u actaully except 2 walk into a hive untouched when your parasited? I'd like 2 see wat server u play on where that happens <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

2 skulks couldn't take out a marine with aim camping at back of gen, its 2 open
