Game Start. Go Gorge, Drop Rt...

then what ?
Instead of going skulk, what I usually do is look for the other bright green spots on the map. Help out the other gorges build their RT faster (if they haven't finished it yet). Sometimes when I do that, we're four gorges grouped up. We then head for the marines base. Now two things happen : You either cripple them hard or you kill them all and end the game. If it's the first option to finish, your team got a good res income from the dropped RTs. And you saved yourself 2 res (so one free upgrade in a sens).

In my opinion, going back to skulk is better since you have a much greater fighting capability than a gorge, and your resources can rise faster since you have a greater chance of killing marines. Thou, make sure there are at least one or two gorges to heal spray skulks when there are no healing locations nearby.
Nothing wrong with forming a gorge gang, but gorges just can't destroy bases until they have two hives and you won't be finding many servers with enough teamwork to form gorge gangs.
If you want to do a gorge rush, you should decide it before the game really starts, and concentrate your efforts on making it successful. Dropping rts won't be nearly as helpful as dropping mcs (possibly dcs). Just get everyone together, drop your chambers somewhere safe, and get on with the killing. Or, if you're doing a 2-hive gorge rush, you'd just go back skulk after dropping your rt or chamber anyways to make sure you don't lose before you are ready to attack.
The general idea is to spend as little time as possible as gorge during the first few minutes. Drop your stuff, build it, and go back skulk so you won't end up losing it right away. It's not like you'd have enough res income to stay gorge yet, anyway.
as for what to do when u get that RT up, type kill in console. or stay as gorge and go fight. gorges are alot better as battle class's in 2.0 and with 1 DC near u there very good. or save for another offy tower to guard the RT.
You won't... unless the marines engage you in a really dumb way, like when you're hiding in a wall of OCs and DCs. Otherwise, they'll splat you good if they can aim at all.
You may be able to kill a single marine by yourself with either dc or mc upgrades at the start of the game, but once the marines get some weapons/armor upgrades, you probably won't even get that far without chamber support.
There is no reason for 2+ marines to die to a gorge, or even one marine who gets a medpack.
Two gorges can easily take down one marine, likely two marines, possible three (though that's pushing it). Four gorges can in fact debilitate the marine start, granted that the marine start doesn't have turrets (or it has turrets, but not enough, or poorly placed).
And please note, even if the marines do kill you..... you'd've killed yourselves anyway. Hopefully you managed to at least kill as many (or more) of them before they kill you.
I say this strategy is valid, although it certainly won't work every time, and there are other strategies that work just as well or better. Keep in mind that this is something to pull when the marines aren't expecting it.
Of course, when the 2nd hive gets put up, bile bomb makes gorge rushing that much more effective....
But imo I rarely see this level on teamwork on public games - not that I'm particularly bothered by this. If you want great teamwork, go join a clan or play in a PUG.
Honestly, most of the alien team should be saving up in the early game. It pays off around the midgame when you have maybe a pair of fades, a lerk or two, and a few skulks who are still saving up for the endgame, or in case of emergency. You should see at most three gorges on the alien team at one time, with one of those gorges only temporarily gorging for the sake of rebuilding a lost RT or something. Four gorges, and there usually aren't enough skulks to make any sort of offense against the marines, and beyond that, you're just asking to have your gorges to be jumped and splattered. Those things are ten res each. It seems cheap during the midgame, but in the early game, where they count the most, ten res can be wasted really easily through stupid stuff like gorging no more than a ten second run from marine start. And you NEED all the res you can get in the first eight minutes.
Gorge gangs can be funny, especially with early adren and high coordination, but usually it's only for laughs at pubs, and if you try it twice, you get shottie-rushed all the way back to the hive. They are not that much more battleworthy than they were in 1.04, and they are still not really expendable. When the whole team gorges up in the first minute, it means up to half their res or more stands to be lost through the action of the marines pushing freely against skulk-free zones shooting up gorges, RTs, and the one or two OCs someone might have been able to build.
once in place most of the team can consintrate on the other exit/s.
if first chamber is sc protecting a WoL is very difficult, best to place oc at an angle so all oc see the target at the same time, all will fire at the same time and kill the marine befor he can run away. place sc forward and aft of the possion so the team is cloaked befor they enter and can wate in anbush just forward the possion. down side if the chambers need healing health spray will run short fast.
if they try to lean out, attack them. after a few hits make them beleave your a wounded duck (run away). try and get them to make the first move.
i like to setup in the hall or room outside where the closest rt to marine start is. this way the com trys to cap the nod time and time again just to be taken out again and again (not to mention the number of marines you get to lure in to a trap. even if they are smart at some point they will want your head and get themselves killed trying to get to you.
your team will save you if you ask (if they dont the game is lost do to lack of team work most of the time anyway) such as if you hear building other than the RT or if someone comes along with a GL.
if the marine team cannt get the WoL down the game is more then likely won. you've cut off most of the rez and hive/s from the marines. if it falls, it is in the first stages of constuction most of the time and you did not lose much in building it.
gorge is so much fun
In small games, the Redemp Gorge is to be feared. Everytime I redemp, I save my 10 res investment and get a free ride back to base to boost its defences. Also, it allows me to battle fearlessly, and distract the marines, usually getting them killed by my OCs while they try to grab the (supposedly) easier kill. When you get two hives, the Celerity/Redemp Battle Gorge is a nightmare to all base defences. Unless you've got a siege in base, you're going to have OCs, DCs, and a crazy bile-spamming fatty ruining your day.
In larger (10v10) games where res isn't going to be as abundant, waiting around as a gorge is that much more dull. But it also makes Redemp even more important (or cloak!) so that you don't lose that 10 res.

Takes a bit of aim, a bit of sneakyness, but remember that it only takes 6 spits to kill a marine. Try to catch them off guard and jump around like you're on fire and they usually don't kill you with the 1 lmg clip, meanwhile you should be able to land enough spit on 'em - but you'll need to predict to aim, it's not instant hit. Combine that with the ability to heal and you will have a pretty nasty early game alien... and if you die it's no biggie
Also battle gorges do get res while healspraying the rines and the skulks... especially if the rines go armor 1 early, 2 bites and a few heal sprays = gorge kill... ifind gorge spray almost negates armor 1... IF used with skulks.
When you get web it is time for action. by this time res shouldnt be important, so i usually get adren/regen or cara but if you dont want to evolve cerelity redemp works still. run into rine base and web the whole floor and then get redeemed with an onos or a fade coming in right after, chances are that 1/3 of the rines are webbed, and the others may get webbed as well as they move to fight the onos/fade
