<div class="IPBDescription">Getting error when joining server</div> Hi there!

I got a problem that is very annoying for me, when im trying to join a NS server i get this error:
"The Selected OpenGL mode is not supported by your video card."
It maby is becuse i got an older video card, (Gf3Ti200) (drivers; 45.23). Im also running Winxp with sp1.
NS is build on HL, but I dont get this error in CS, HL or any other HL-based mod.
Before i could play NS so it havent been like this in the begining.
I have also attempt to change the OpenGL mode to "3Dfx Mini Driver" and resolution.
Yes!, i got directX9 and the newest drivers for my video card and version 2.0 of NS.

Anyone that have had the same problem or know what to do about it? <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I had the same problem with my old GF3 when I upgraded to the Det 40's drivers. I had to put the older v30.82 drivers back on to play any HL mods in OpenGL.

    Therefore, try earlier drivers.

    Hmm, very strange.
    I really thought this should work as you said.
    Becuse it can be correct that when i was getting new drivers for a long time ago, then the error started to come i think.
    But now when i was changing back it dident work.
    Im still getting the annoying error.
    This made me disappointed <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    What can I do now? <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

    are you sure you got rid of the old drivers completely? (the old drivers being the ones that were not working)

    just installing over the old ones is a bad idea. You should at least remove the old ones with the install/remove programs dialog from the control panel. If you wan't to be more pedantic find some program to clean the registry and system folders from references to detonator drivers and leftover nvidia files respectively(there are a bunch of them, with silly names like detonator destroyer)

    This problem is not entirely uncommon since I have heard of it once before and it was solved by re-installing the graphics card drivers, it may not be the same cause this time though.

    As EnemyWithin said it should work with the 30.82 drivers.
    Which also where the oldest one i got saved.
    But im going to try to install the drivers again in a proper way as you said Soylent green.
    If that doesent work then im going for the registry and system folders. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
    Thanx for some new tip Soylent green!
    By the way, any program you can recommend for the system folder work?
