    Now, time for some fade shaped fiddling. Shame that the acid rocket will look screwy (no choice, its also the bilebomb) but such is life.



    If goggly marines exist, they'd go great with Wesker..

    the human-like zombie is pretty easy, but the body structure is diff from the fade bones. so i might need some1 to assign bones :\.

    Anyone know how you make weapons appear on these models? I'd like my Wesker fade to be holding a knife...... so far he punches you with his fist, lol.




    I assume you put the knife info into the c_marine reference, but what bone do I attach it to? I tried bone 25 and 26, but the knife appears in odd places.

    Plus its just the default TSA knifey. Kind of hoping to change that, too.



    Anyone got any ideas to put a knife in? Meanwhile I'll try and skin/animate some v weapons to go with a Fade Wesker...


    NyaaaaRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHH wth was I thinking, I can't even skin. At most I can make Fade compatible v weapon anims, but that requires someone reskinning the current marine hands, or something.     i think unreal panther based the skin on that, but i used a diff ref for the model.. i know its a bit low poly so it wont lag most ppl <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    let me get this straight, you're making a wesker for fade?(correct me if im wrong) decompile the model and a knife model, add the knife to the wesker model, align to the fade bones and assign verts, recompile, and you're good to go.

    I decompiled the model, took out c_jetpack, played with c_marine to use just the skin I like, recompiled, was happy, took out the textures and made the blue sleeves darker, put them back in, saved, checked it was ok, got the NS knife, added it in to the right arm....


    And here's where it all went screwy. It floats miles behind him, moves to odd places, and generally makes itself a pain. And all that is beside the cosmetic issue that its not the RE:CV knife, of course.

    Not too sure why I need to assign things to the fade bones though..... just going to use the model as is (knife attack anim becomes alien ability 1 thru 6).

    Yep and it appears around about his backside.


    So, I tried the one from the Underworld mod. It fits perfectly. However, thats another mod, and thus makes the finished model one for personal use only.

    I was sort of hoping I could use an original or at the least the NS one so I could release in the NS community. I seriously seriously love Wesker, I've been battle mode with him (knife killing a hunter? No sweat!) and this looked like a good opportunity for matrixy blink kill death fun.

    Disappointing for everyone else, but happy old me since I can see if it works. Dry running it tonight.

    Meh meh meh, I'm hunting for RE sounds to tag onto our friend the fade.

    Anyone finds good ones, lemme know.

    Still would like some upstanding person to remodel the marine hands or at least reskin them to look like the Wesker model.....

    Ok, here's a pic of what my fiddling has got me.

    Note well - this won't be released because the knife can't be passed legally.


    On a more technical note, the model itself needs a minor reskin to make it more CVX-ish.... but I'm happy with this for my personal use.

    Bummer about the knife eh?
