Building Stacking

Exploit or Not?
I see this all the time and it drives me crazy. (Both as a marine and as an alien.) Ever since the turret factory electric range was increased, you now have IP's, Armories, Weapons Labs, all stacked so close they overlap and stick together. It looks like the commander was trying to build a tower of lame.
So, is it an exploit? It doesn't seem right to see structures constructed into other structures.
(This may be mentioned so I'll say it now. Structure stacking was an intended feature for the aliens.)

Yeah I think Structure clutter looks right for aliens. But marines? Something just seems out of place when they do it.
Lets not turn this into some kind of pointless conflict now.
Though I agree that it is usually the most creative and effective ideas that are labeled exploits. Sometimes I just take a "If it works-run with it" attitude but it depends on the situation... and which side of the game I am on...
Everyone loves a Hypocrite!
I never claimed it was an exploit. I do find it annoying. As for new and creative, its neither. People could always do its. Now they have a reason to do it.
As for the tactic itself. Well, I find its a short term solution. Its leaves the base WIDE open to bile bomb later on.
Depends if you can get on the same level as them without being shot at, seeing as how Bile Bomb has been nerfed to death.
As for stacking with aliens, its always bween the way it is and jet packers have always been the easy way around. Stacking has the advantage of packing a large amount of fire power into a small space but has the disadvantage of being susceptible to seiges. Look at the options beacause theres alot of paper scissors rock in NS if you can use your head and teamwork to pull it off.
I agree I wouldnt mind the marine clumping if it wasnt for the Bile Bomb nerf.
Bile bomb can be nerfed by urself but two or three gorges can beat anything healing/biling everything in their path and can be even more effective than an onos or two when used right. Mark my words, an early Gorge rush can kill any wandering marines and their base in no time, the only thing going against them is their speed which is easily countered by bunny hopping
Kharaa stacking is expected. It is not an exploit to stack up a corridor with OCs and DCs (the traditional wall of lame), nor to stack up an elevator so it cannot be used, nor to build a Kharaa structure on top of a Marine PG, IP, etc.
At least u guys have gotten rid of the electrify buildings usually not electrified bug but sometimes a skulk can still take no damage while jumping up and down on certain structures, an auto ban on our servers now.
Oh, and next time, do me the favor and do a search on the subject before starting yet another can of worms thread
