    You don't need an IP to build a prototype lab. I just tested it (with sv_cheats, not in a real game). You need a CC to put down anything, so it is required, but in a different way, so it probably shouldn't be part of the answer.

    I do not really know the 1.04 res model, but here is my answer.

    If the aliens begin this situation with 0 res, and then 40 res is added to the team pool at the next tick, then the gorges cannot build any offense chambers.

    Okay back in the 1.* day gorges recieved 3 shares of the res intake while the fighting units got one.

    So first off, assuming all aliens start at 0 res, wefigure out who gets how man shares.

    Gorge 1 = 3
    Gorge 2 = 3
    Fade = 1
    Skulk 1 = 1
    Skulk 2 = 1
    Skulk 3 = 1
    [b]TOTAL = 10

    40/10 = 4

    Gorge 1 = 12 res
    Gorge 2 = 12 res
    Fade = 4 res
    Skulk 1 = 4 res
    Skulk 2 = 4 res
    Skulk 3 = 4 res

    As O chambers cost(I think) 14 res back then no O chambers could be dropped.

    note, however, that the onos had charge at hive 1 and paralyse at hive 2 even if paralyse was a hive1 weapon.
