I don't know about alot of people but I'd rather have an elite rambo under my command then 2 very loyal marines that stick to the gameplan...maybe its just me but the way i see it is if that rambo can get around 3 skulk kill before he dies and take downa few nodes then its far better then having two other guys follow ur orders....maybe its just the way i comm....check thread "new strategy...i think".....I'd rather have a team of rambo's then a teamfull of medium skilled players that follow ur orders

rambo=guy who goes around destroyin anything in his path n dosent follows orders
if you have a team full of rambos then whos gonna build your stuff?
Also, even rambos will usually submit to building a building or two right after they respawn--especially if its an armory so they can get ammo.
Ninja = Rambo who builds, can handle the weapons, kills aliens and walks in strategic self thinking movment.
TOOL means of having a ninja in his squad, two clanlers and some JustMeat-Guys
OK.But what gonna TOOL make if the alienteam isnt complete nap and realised early to proctect the rts.
Btw. There many aliens ninjas outa there
Ninja = one that knows how to play well, uses strategy, can make decisions by using logic, and thinks on his feet (and in the air) - doesn't have to be told what to do all the time. In short, a very skilled player that any commander would love to have.
Dedicated Marine = a player that constantly has to be told what to do and follows orders only when they are given.
Rambos = players that run around and get killed, usually accomplishing nothing.
Naturally, the more intelligent players you have on your team, the easier your job is as a commander. If you have few intelligent players while the other team has many, then you will find your job very difficult. Only when both teams are even is there what you can call a balanced field where commanding skills and strategies actually matter most.
Rambos don't and can't know what is going on. The commander does.
Rambos don't and can't react to what is going on. Obedient marines can and do - the commander tells them everything.
Rambos would probably run to a hive to knife it to death... and they'd themselves die, after taking 30 hp off the hive, by a skulk.
Obedient marines would probably stay outisde a hive, build sieges, and win the game. Yes, the siege tactic might fail, if the Marines couldn't kill the attacker. But that rarely happens <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
oh and i love the shotty ninjas who kill 8 skulks, a lerk and then knife a gorge <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Kharaa 1: Hey, they're all ramboing.
Kharaa 2: Well, let's stop building those rts that they keep taking down, and instead go fade or onos so they can't take us on on one/attack in groups/destroy their base. That'll teach 'em.
Kharaa 1: Haha, learning. Good one.
Indeed, one or two really good rambos can be helpful, but only marginally more than those that follow orders. Rambos aren't nearly as hard to counter as, say, working together, getting a few rts, and then mowing down the enemy with an HA train.
Jetpacks for Rambos (If you can afford it), HA for guys who listen. HMG for rambos, HMGs/Shotties for listeners, GLs for the followers of the listeners.
A good shot can be a very good spawncamper...for instance in a corridor outside a hive or similar...
Problem being, that with to many rambos, you end up being able to do nothing, since you have no squads to work with...
