This is appears to be an incompatability between NS and Steam. We're trying to fix this for 2.1.

I'm getting the same thing "host_error: usermsg: not present on client 66"

Is it the server or the client's fault?
Will it work if the client does not use steam?

Reason I'm asking is cause I'm setting up a NS Server on Linux and I'm trying to figure out if its the server...

    Thanks,

well, as Max said, it is messed up for now. In 2.1 it will probably be fixed (for now ther eis no known workaround)

I think I might have the same error though I have no clue... I would just be playing sometimes and the game would end, send me to the ready room with all the other players, the round would start. And BAM the game freezes and "The program, Half-Life is not responding" and thus I have to end the task. Is this the same client 57 error or is this another one? Does anyone else have this problem?

    /me shudders

Hay, is there any reason why you piggybacked on to a dead thread... that has none of the same things as your problem?

Start a new thread and read the pinned threads up top (especialy the one that says to read it before posting)
