Are you sure that you didn't just violate board policy there?

I'm not trying to rat you out, I'm just letting you know what might happen.

Still, interesting. (Yay! We're better than TFC!)

Lol, i totally forgot about that. Had all that fiasco with the HL2 screenshots in PC Gamer some months back. Hmm, none of the pictures are copyright to PC Zone and it's not exactly the best scan ever either, but if any of the mods want to remove it or whatnot, i will without hesitation.

That'd be last month's, because this month...

edit: actually, looks like they're both in the same issue, just esuna posted the least interesting one of the two <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

I don't buy PC Zone, but I do buy the Australian PC PowerPlay, & NS has been mention in the Mod-Life section, nothing but good things said about NS <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

They're not really good review writers, are they?

Explaing at great lengths as to how good NS is, how the strategy is required, and then giving it an 89 without any explanation.

<!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> NS was mod of the month in the US PCGamer 3 times straight.

Natural Selection was also reviewed by Pelit, the biggest gaming magazine in Finland. This was way back durring 1.02, though, but it must've impressed the reviewer since he mentioned that voluntarily reviewing a Half-Life mod was something he didn't expect he would ever do again. The game got a solid 88/100 and the 'Pelit Recommends' award, which is reserved for exceptional games. All in all a very good score. The only beef the reviewer had was with the maps being easy to get lost in and endgames taking way too long sometimes.

"...[Natural Selection] has a thick and slippery llama teflon coating. Since the mod does not offer any ego fodder for fraghunters running after kills, teamkillers, or even for cheat program operating morons, the players act more proper than most [Internet gamers]. "

If that reviewer had played another month his score would have gone up 10%

While sometimes they forget some details occasionally, their reviews are generally far more honest and down to earth than any other PC magazine i've read and far more entertaining to read, i've bought other magazines and read one or two reviews or news stories, but i barely ever put my PC Zone down until it's been read cover to cover.
