Cheers anyway ....
Here is another picture of the error ... I hope some1 can understand what it means.
Reinstalling steam will not fix this bug. Just disconnect after the end of every game and reconnect after a few seconds. (make sure you do wait a few seconds or it will crash after you join again.)
Although I have found out this :
If I choose a team really quickly in the READY ROOM after each game is won it won't crash. I dont now how this stops the crash but it does, the only thing is I cant always join a team quickly (BLOCKERS) and NS will crash.
Any other ideas ?
WISH ME LUCK !!!
In the current 2.1 Steam Playtest build, we are still getting this error, and have yet to find a solution.
For now, just live with it, as we are doing. Hopefully someone (either NS devs, or Steam devs) will find a fix for it. Until then, update your nVidia drivers, and hope for the best.
TBH that NS 2.0 Steam Beta sorted it so cheers !!!
BUT WAIT ....
I know get the occasional new error .. lol !!!
The game crashes to desktop saying something about 128 hud sprites ... any idea or posts on this b4 ??
Happens to alot of people and alot of the time an uninstall and reinstall doesnt work.
Keep in mind these are STEAM issues.
you may need to physically delete some nvidia driver dlls, they may be corrupt and may not be getting replaced.

U are definetly right ...
That nvoglnt.dll is a Nvidia driver or something. I have a Geforce 4 MX-440 64MB with latest drivers.
Come come plz explain to me how to remove this corrupt .dll, as I dont really wanna mess anything up and go poking around with something I dont fully understand.
So how can I safely remove this file and these drivers?
Plz help !!!
I worked it out myself .. removed corrupt file and driver .. replaced with most up-to-dat nvidia ones ...#
BUT STILL THE CRASH !!!
AARGGHHGHG !!!
aint goin that far ...
i will have to wait for 2.1 ...
if it sill crashes well jump off a clif tbh

I am working on this problem form evey angle poss and so far i have found that it happens to people playiung STEAM CS as well as NS so i think it dose lie iin the laps of the STEAM Techs.
I have searched through 100s of pages on furms and not one have found a good fix for it yet but i tell u this alot of people that do has this problem are using XP with Nvidi cards and ATI cards running it on opengl.
you can try to run it in win 98/me compatability and zip your nvoglnt.dll and try playing again.
it might help for a bit but. <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo-->

TY !
I seem to find it happens on one map more that the others when u connect to this map I have HLSW working in the back ground and it says on map validation 34 out of 36 spawn portels are there.
(hummm could be a error in the map build that pics up somthing via steam ans it cant cope with the calculations and crashes people)
I might just be picky but i only trying to help and find the problem.

It an issue with NS only, CS, team fortress play fine, only natural selection beta or no beta crashes EVERY map change. <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo-->
could it be server overloading or map erorrs
The steam beta is compatible with ns2.0 - its just a fix for steam problems, and doesn't add anything extra.. I suggest everyone with steam get it
^ Go There ^
Use that installer to install Natural Selection 2.0. It will install NS to Steam, in an addition, it will resolve a whole lot of Steam Related bugs like the error spamming you have there.
2k, nvidia(latest drivers) gf3 128 vid ram, 512 sys ram.
Using the reconnect command after each round seems to be the only workaround I've found so far, having to remember to do it gets old however.
