Is the visor going to be using transparency dlls? That would look quite cool. Looking good so far
facial structure looks kinda weird. I would take a look at some other player models to get a good idea about how it should look. The head model itself doesn't have to be too detailed. A good skin can make a lot of difference. If you don't want to redo the head, then here are some things I can see that are wrong with it: 1. Eyes need to be smaller, and somewhat closer together (it looks like an anime character as it is now.) 2. The mouth is too low on the face. The lips should be one finger width from the nose. ....2-1. The mouth should be more relaxed (eg. not constantly frowning.) ....2-2. Make the mouth smaller, or make the lower part of the face fatter (it looks something like a puppet mouth otherwise). 3. Do something about the akward forhead space between the eyes and the edge of the helmet.
Hope that helps. All your other models are awesome, but I guess everyone has something they need more work on. I made a player model for TS once, but it wasn't close to being made from scratch. It was more of a hack job than anything.

BRIG YOU ARE A FREAKIN' GENIOUS!! I'm using every one of your models that I'm aware exists. You are possibly one of THE best modellers I have ever seen, and a FREAKIN' good skinner, too.
I have a GeForce4 Ti 4400 (56.12 Drivers) and it works like a baby's @$$ with butter smeared all over it... and powder.
If indeed you're looking for the highest poly models for HL, there's always ghost ops.

Though I think this is by FAR the best marine model I have EVER seen, I agree with Panther. The shoulder guards should be a little more -- how can I put this -- flat, or just a little less round. Not like a box, but more like ya know... this shape:
I'd imagine it'd be easier to just add another bone and a voicecomm anim...wait...you'd have to reanimate that bone for every other animation...eep...But with the barney skeleton there'll be alot of reanimating as well...stuck between a rock and a hard place
those are actually really nice face textures. I would recommend making the skin color have variations in tone/hue to give it more depth. Nobody has skin that's all the same color after all. It's pretty easy to do, just use quick mask mode in PS w/ funky brushes and then just change the hue and saturation in the selected areas. I found that works quite nicely.
Nice work so far Brig The only other complaint I have is the body armor looks too clean (eg. needs more dents, discoloration, & overall wear and tear.)
Hmm.. Im pretty sure I like the round shoulder Pauldrons the way they are. You guys are always free to hack it up and make square ones after I release the model though.

yeah, Eyes are seperate.
That's pretty fly.
Creepy
Now we have to make a player's head and eyes look around realistically.
Oh and the half-spheres on the shoulders are bleh
