Bit on the harsh side Trev....everyone playing NS was a noob ...but non the less it is a valid point.

If you are new to NS learn more about the game before you start accusing.

Actually that goes for any game you are starting.

To the noobs : It is normal to assume someone does hack. No, it doesn't make you a newbie. Just as Trevelyn says, do not be so quick to rule [cheats] unless consulting the obvious.
The obvious :
Sound!?
Motion Tracking?
Parasite?
Spectators? LAN 'hacks'?
Teammates warnings? (where mp_fadetoblack is not in use)
Where you obviously hiding somewhere?
Did he/she hesitate? (get some idea, sometimes ruling out reflexes)

As a start, consider these things and you can probably come up with more to come to a VALID LOGICAL conclusion.

People [cheat], even in CAL-I, and other higher levels of competitive play. Just to show, it exists everywhere. Its good to assume, not good to publicly acuse.

Well... some Newbies/nOObs are to hash attaking someone with acuses and such...
But i think there is a difference betwen those two beginners...

Newbie: Some one that have some kind of interest in the game and have
REEEEAAAD, the manual..... and that maybe even can ask a good question once in awhile...
But they really do want to learn the game and tries to think in the game.

nOOb: A person, witch havent REEEEEAAAAD, the manual but just downloadet the
game and start to ask all us hardcore, good, ULTRA, OMG playiers, silly and stupid questions...
And after he/she have been eaten 1-5 times... they start to scream: CHEATER, CHEATER... HACKER, CHEACKER....
And every body gets a headach and starts kicking and banning.... and we do want to awoid that....... right?

wallhacks are kinda silly to use in NS... they're built in already, and the built in ones are much better than the cheezy transparency and whatnot effects of cheats. It would be a waste of effort and a pointless risk toward getting yourself banned.

Frankly, I find running two computers and having one join spec or HLTV, while I play on the other a lot easier and hassle free. Similarly, lanning with a friend and having him tell you things, so called 'LAN-hacking' is just common sense and making good use of your advantages over an opponents lack thereof.

Hacking has nvr been a real issue in NS ( n00b's feel free dissagree with me below ! ) ....

But scripting really need to be sorted.
Take for instance this situation we had earler this week .. this onos walking right into our base with 1 hive, hmg droped startshooting hes getting screwed hes almost dea.....OHH no wait hes bhoping backwards out of the base covering his hitbox ( imo onos hitbox is soo mutch easyer to hit from behind also he can c the bullet tracers and dodge a bit !)

now i know this is a bit off the topic of wallhacking ! but sereiously all these scripts have to stop and NS team dont really seem dedacated to stoping scripts they just keep churning out new versions of the game. Also there last effort was a falure. Just in case u dont know w00t im talking about they tried to stop certain "script kiddies" from useing a leap script in doing this THEY made it so everyone who can simply press last wepon OR the keys 1 and 3 quickly is struck down to a retards pace and now has to wait/ get shot up a bit more even die ! b4 they are alowed to leap away from danger, after biteing someone.

Anyone who knows how to make server mods or even a cfg cheaker or dl'er so we can see whos useing these scripts when they join the server could they plz get to work on something before more good legit clans start getting owned by **** who they 4-0'ed a week ago when the opponant couldent unload 10 pistol rounds in a split secound or bhop around the map infanatly.

And about aimbot, its good to know its absolutly possible for someone to NEVER EVER EVER MISS. So don't even start pointing fingers there(unless its cs and some dude is running around with a deagle magically getting 25 headshots in a row under 30 seconds.(never missing the head is slightly different than never missing a human sized body)

For those of you who don't like this: play on servers that don't allow HLTV or specs (except for admins, usually). If the opportunity to gain an advatage is there, it will be used. The only way to do anything about it is to remove the advantage.

Even then, I'd say it's more bad sportsmanship than cheating (though it is still at least a little bit cheating). The opportunity is there for pretty much everyone to gain the same advantage without any game modification, but it's not the kind of advantage that is based on skill or practice, but rather subterfuge.
