I am a movie/home theater buff; I love watching stuff in widescreen on huge screens with surround sound and digital quality. Unfortunately, thats where my girlfriend and I differ. She really could care less about any of that, as long as it plays and it doesn't have those annoying black bars on the top and bottom of the screen, its good with her.

This is the surprising part. For our 2-year anniversary, she buys me a top-of-the-line Koss DVD player. Component video, digital coaxial audio, progressive scan, the works!
