<div class="IPBDescription">At the risk of being shot</div>At the risk of being shot for starting (yet) another topic for ns_odlers:
I've zipped and uploaded to <a href="http://galileo.spaceports.com/~evstudio" target="_blank">My Webpage</a> the latest versions of the new section of my map (marine spawn) and the sector A (the one with mah 5e><y beds)... it's 1.5mb all up (zipped) and would love to know what people think of both parts...
Note: for sector A - yes the corridors and cafeteria are a bit bare...but that'll change when I devote more time to that area...

<i>Pssst. Don't tell Collateral that your site is designed for IE. He gets really mad. Heh.</i>
<!--EDIT|MonsieurEvil|Sep. 06 2002,10:48-->
Hmmm, I was about to start ranting on it not working in Mozilla, but it's just that some of those links actually do nothing and don't work in IE either.
Either way, everyone should give <a href="http://webstandards.org" target="_blank">http://webstandards.org</a> a look. And if you want to see what you can do with just CSS, give the current test version of my web page (<a href="http://128.113.145.30/brli-r4/news.asp?category=general" target="_blank">http://128.113.145.30/brli-r4/news.asp?category=general</a>) a look (print preview it also). edit - probably down while I'm in class with a different ip.
Sorry for the rant, but these things really #### me off.
About nodlers, i love how you use the 2 different colors of the wall lab textures, and i think it looks cool, add a bit more of detail, and your map will rock.
You are filled with nice ideas, keep mapping or i´ll kill you <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->
First, the ceiling of the docking bay seems to have support beams built into the ceiling. I think this would look a lot better if you actually made small protrusions in the ceiling in here, this would allow a more realistic looking ceiling, and it's not like you don't have poly's to spare, the most r_speeds I ever got was 460, so that'd be good to try out.
Next, a simple layout issue I assume you'll correct later, but only one spawn exit doesn't really seem good to me... Maybe try another one in the side?
Also, the last thing, what if you were to dim those ceiling lights, just a big, and brighten the ones on the floor around the hazard strip?
I think this would make for a bit more lighting contrast, while still keep a bit more light on the floor. If you add the ceiling protrusions too, this will throw some shadows onto the room, and shadows would look cool there, I think.
Oh, and that swinging clamp, anyway you could make it swing faster? It doesn't really look convincing moving as slow as it does now.
Thats all for now, keep up the good work Hanz!

Legionnaired: the marine spawn room actually has r_speeds of 550 when looking out from it....but I see your point... as for the clamp, I don't think a big ### heavy clamp would swing that fast from just wind...
I guess I should just put my foot in my mouth now <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
Nice job Hanz.
Something strange bout those mp3s... *goes to check out the mp3 sample maps*
edit:
yup, the mp3s are indeed what makes my hl crash... dunno why, but I sure hope it doesnt in the release...

Well, I dunno if it works, but try to (before u reinstall HL, which I really think u ought to do) type "stopsound" in console, without the " 's. Then do the map, and see if it crashes.
I ran through the map and I say it looks very good! I thought that the latest build of myown map was yet another waste of time, but your map convinced me to go on with it. <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->
I realized that architecture isn't everything... lighting is! <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->
You could make a square room with no detail look GREAT with just some lights!

[edit]you'll have to go to <a href="http://galileo.spaceports.com/~evstudio" target="_blank">here first</a> or it wont work[/edit]
Oops, sorry... I had no intent of insulting you...
Thanks for posting this bsp package, it just shows the whole atmosphere so much better than just screenshots.
