<div class="IPBDescription">on the marine minimap</div> Why are some icons representing marines green and some white. I notice that I am always green, but some others are white, but then again some others are green.
well when the game starts only you are green, this is so you stand out from the other marines, however if your commander puts you in a squad, all your squad members become green so you can easily stay in a groupp <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo-->

That'd automatically assume the commander knew exactly what he's doing. Ever get a move waypoint to holoroom, then have a build WP appear at marine spawn when you're halfway to holo?
Not like the commander does it on purpose, just forgot to de-select you before dropping the TF, or whatever. Now what do you do?.. yeah, trek all the way back to base for a bogus WP when you're needed in holoroom.
problem with the too-far-away-from-squad idea though, the marines which were killed previously would respawn, and if their squad goes too far into the map, they die the instant they spawn....

No not really. But as you may haved noted, Bogglesteinsky and Dubbers were being sarcastic. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Hmm. Rather than having the marines instantly die, the commander should have a "Admin_slap" equivilaent. Say if a button was added on the 'assist' pannel called, er... 'correct'? 'Repent'? 'Punish'?
Of course, having an insane comm send all the marines flying round marine start also has its downsides. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
This idea has been mentioned before I think, but I'll bet it will still be missing from Ns2.1
