So how is this going to work then?
At least one of the clans is going to have to have a ping of 120?

These are my predictions.

If HAM did practice and have their good lineup. I see HAM taking it.

And for eR vs envy, I really like both of these teams, eR with their new commander GeneralPatton, which with him now on the team, i've seen eR do a hell of alot better

envy also got a couple of great players Rapidfyre and Sling_Blade. and envy have very good individual skill, but seems like they lack strats. So i see a tie between these two teams

and for the third round, I dunno, depends on which side each team is on.

But i love all of these teams, i wish the best to all of you

Hmm... I'm pretty sure eR can upload a few demo's and hltv recorded the 2nd half of the match: Download

Too bad none of the HAM dudes recorded a demo nor was there any HLTV that was working...

Spinnahost was the HLTV server..

God, Spinnahost SUCK!

Thanks to TribalDaniel from aSx my personal POV demo is available at the Team aSx homepage . They got a whole bunch of mostly HLTV demos from previous CAL games.

Don't expect any spectacular moves although it will give you a clue as to what went on and an example on how not to attack a jp/hmg as fade without using blink to your advantage =) We felt we could've done better and we were close at some stages of the game but we all enjoyed playing and weren't disappointed with our performance but it's never fun to loose. Look out for our next encounter with HAM, we will be back and next time victory will fall our way (and hopefully we'll have a working HLTV that time).

Btw, if you got demos of your games that you want to show to other people, talk to TribalDaniel about getting em hosted on their site, the NS community could need a good demo repository which currently doesn't exist.

Just figured I'd post the results to all the matches here:

HAM v. .bm -- HAM wins 2-0
OSS v. Evil -- OSS wins 2-1 (Alien tie, OSS wins cointoss and goes alien, all Evil does is **** on irc about it for remainder of night)

dn v. TMM -- dn wins 2-0
eR v. Envy -- eR wins 2-0

Even Flayra was suprised (he was on IRC) when he found out HAM 2-0ed bm....GGs though guys. I think 2 weeks from now (when playoffs resume), HAM vs OSS will come down to wins the cointoss (I think they'll alien tie, whoever wins cointoss will go alien and win the match.....), but who knows, maybe HAM will 2-0 them.

it would be surprising if HAM beat the crap out of OSS, but i dont think it would happen.

Cmon guys every player in a cal match should have a demo. There weren't any complaints this round so no biggie but the fact that half the ppl in these 4 matchs didn't take demo's is kinda disturbing.

why would we take demos when theres HLTV? (that we assumed would actually work)

I'd much rather CAL put some effort into finding reliable HLTV as its way more practical to get one HLTV demo of a match than 12 demos from the players, dont you agree?

I'm as upset as everyone else with the lack of demos, I would love to rewatch our game as I think it was one of the best games we've played.

HLTV is no substitute for a real first person demo. Not at all.

The eR/dn match should be tight and luscious, with just the right seasonings. I say we find that Ken Bean chap and ask if he'd be willing to host the HLTV for it, since his, you know, like, worked.

You see that would go against our master plan though. We plan to crash hltv then edit our demos so it shows us winning NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW!!!!!!

Can you blame 'em? There is no doubt here by probably most of the NS community that evil is the superior clan, and yet OSS managed to take the win because of some stupid coin toss system (and as we all know alien > marine).

oh btw h2o: "it would be surprising if HAM beat the crap out of OSS, but i dont think it would happen. "

?!?!?!?!?!?

I have to add this, that cointoss rule to decide who wins is just the most stupid idea ever.

play 1 map, if 1-1, play another map, if 1-1 after that, then either the teams can decide to do a 3rd map that night or resume it the next day. it doesnt take ages, every scrim we play is 2 maps, and often if the other team doesnt mind then 3-4 maps, this usually takes about an hour or 2, but NS games only last like 10-15 minuits average, we have had this in place for the entire ESL tournament, which the longest played was 4 maps, the time to do the match was 2 hours i think, not exactly painfully long, hell most public games i play last about that.

Dude, who gives a crap about favorites.

OSS is one of one of the few clans to tie HAM in the CAL season. Not only is OSS much better than people make them out to be, but Evil also lost some of it's better players, no?

I would never underestimate OSS anymore. They can play, and their alien teamwork isn't bad at all.

The reason they have a bad reputation is because in scrims they use complete noobs who often have crap aim and can't play very well, meaning OSS gets owned.

When OSS uses it's best roster, they are actually a very decent clan indeed. I don't think it's enough to beat HAM, but I'm gonna enjoy watching them next saturday anyways.

The cointoss rule is bad, but it does not mean a loss. We (Oss) beat aSx when we loss the cointoss. Luck plays a part in every game, CAL just made it a pivotal part.

Yeah as my friend biomass over there said. Team aSx's website does currently have the frst person demo of Biomass in the .BM vs HAM match, as well as many other HLTV demos from this first CAL season. I would like to encourage clans to send me more demos, I've tried pming certain leaders but not many seem interested so please try to get those demos sent to me. Im trying to make the aSx home page both a clan website and a community website, I had plans of adding the Top10 and Predictions that NS archives used to have, but I would like some kind of support so that I know im not doing this for my own good.
