Ns_lazarus: alien spawn

<div class="IPBDescription">It's n00ntacular</div>Now I'm not like blueman in saying that he sucks, but he's really good at mapping. I really truly suck at texturing and I need help with a lot of entities and stuff like texture lighting.

Here are 3 shots of my as of yet incomplete Alien Spawn #3. Ignore the sky (Just base hl), getting a friend to make me a better one. Ignore a few untextured parts as I'm working on them myself (Yes yes, I'm well aware of the limits) and I didn't add in the Hive.mdl

Anyways.... Please be gentle. I'm bad at this =/

    Last shot: On the other side of the room is an 'alien' type ramp up to the walkway. It is quite bumpy, as is all of the alien infestation.

    I like the idea of the hive being near a big window - I haven't seen it before. Also, I like the growth on the floor, but it would be easier to judge if you had posted shots with the lighting finished.

    In terms of the skymap, I know you said it's temporary - you should change it (until you get your proper one) to something like BLACK or SPACE - cause the canyon skymap really makes it hard to focus on the architecture cause (well at least for me) the brain is saying "what the hell is a ns map doing in a canyon"

    I like the idea of the hive against a big window.   I can imagine a huge dramatic nebula outside, with the hive siloueted against it, pulsing away.

    Is that in-game?  If not then all I can say is that you architecture looks good if a bit undetailed.  A good idea is pipes.  They seem to fit wlll with NS.  Otherwise, I need to see your lighting before I can comment further.  C'mon, show us how l337 you really are <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->  But I like what you have so far <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    Expect to see something soon, I shall try and add everything possible and release some new pics and a test map.

    urgh... gotta do sounds, texture lighting, particle effects, etc... WEEEEEEE

    When i first saw that i thought it was supposed to be a room. Anyway thats the point im trying to make turn the sky into wall and ceiling, keep the big ribs and infestation, put in some coloured lights and you have a perfect infested room.
