Rcon Hack?

he join server and use some rcon cheats like invul,addcat,spawnhive,etc.
he is not server master or admin. there's only 3 admin and nobody do that.
how does he get rcon? is it kind of hack?

    Maybe he used a security hole in the HLDS that was reported a few days ago.

    oh and don't forget that you can quite easily brute-force an rcon password <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
    Unless you find a way to block an IP from using rcon when a bad rcon password is given.
    Maybe ask in the Server forums if there is a way to prevent brute forcing.

    It is indeed possible to steal an admin password, doubly so if it's a bad password. The WON/STEAM-ID based systems are a bit better.

    Just pointing out that if you only have rcon I'm pretty certain an admin icon doesn't appear (you can stop it from appearing anyway). So it could just have been an admin messing about.
