<div class="IPBDescription">very entertaining concept...</div>A friend at school was telling me today about a new trend people are doing w/ Bluetooth enabled devices called <a href='http://www.bluejackq.com/' target='_blank'>Bluejacking</a>.
Basically what they're doing is taking their Bluetooth enabled phone and taking it to a crowded area where there's a chance of someone else who also has one (and most likely has no idea what Bluetooth is) and sending them a message (usually about themselves or their current activity, such as "no don't get that phone! get the other one!"). Since most people have no idea how the message got on their phone, their reaction is usually quite humorous.
Makes me wish I had one of these so I could do it at school. :P

(basicaly you get your wireless network card and drive around areas (big cities are best) and scan about for unsecure networks to leach Bandwidth off of <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> yes, it is illegal <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->)
yeah, I'm also glad that my can of Dr. Pepper can't be hooked up to a wi-fi connection...

you use the Net_send command in the cmd prompt. There is a pattern to the comp ID/ to the room # and comp #. So im pretty accurate in messaging the right computers now. Its fun, espically in libraries where you aren't supposed to talk to anyone...

Same here our librian, Mrs Moore, wont even let us talk in the library. I also discovered that you can just use people's user names to send a message to a particular person, even across campus. Also *, the variable key in dos, allows you to send messages to every computer on the network, wheater someone is logged on or not. So if theres no one of a computer, a message will be waiting for them next time they get on.
Hehe, can you say great prank? Set yourself up a dos spam bot that spams a message to every computer on the network... Damn that would be great. Almost as good as gaining access to an admin comp and net_locking every computer on the server... ehehehe
fn pervs ruining my fun little toys (bastd's!)
Oh, and as for the inschool things.
Well most schools use Novel..... just find the integrated mesenger service <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

In CAD class we had everyone in the room spam our teacher's laptop with Novell messages.
Hilarity ensued.
Much appreciation to whoever does.

Why sure you can, here's a link to some people using empty nestle cans to improve their wi-fi connection <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->. Sadly it is in french.

*edit* When I think about it, about 10% of my posts are fueled by alchohol, and about 50% by lack of sleep. So that means there's only a 5% chance that a post will be fueled by both alchohol AND lack of sleep, resulting in the above garble.
That's right, i'm calculating statistics. A sure sign i'm both awake AND not under the influence <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> *edit*
