I think this game needs more press attention

<div class="IPBDescription">The hype it deserves</div>I think if NS would be released now it would be a success, but not as nearly as much as mods like Counter-Strike or even Day of Defeat. That is because there aren't a lot of people I know who know this game. What I think what needs to be done before the launch is showing gameplay footage, screenshots etc to press such as magazines. A few articles in some big magazines are a LOT of new downloaders. Also an update of the site with newer build screens and more detailed gameplay described on the site.

I personally want it to be released right away (ike most people who are waiting for this mod), but I think it is better for the mod to get more attention from the public. I'm just afraid that another great new mod will go down because of the same repetitive Counter-Strike mod beating all.

    But think about it; when cs was released in beta 1 it didn't get that much attention. If people like the game, they'll play, there will be reviews and people will tell each other about it. I think NS has a pretty big starting community...</span></span>

    ZPNRG: Trust monse, he has convoluted plans we cant even imagine, if you could see inside his brain itd look like an NS themed MC Escher drawing.

    The reason why it doesnt seem like there is much is because there isnt enough big flashy news to warrant it. Everytime there have been significant changes and things, NS has been up on all the major HL news sites.
    Its... well how do you think its got such a large pre-release community in the first place? This is a massive following and thats not including all those people who never register, never post, never visit irc.

    I bet if you search almost any HL news site or mods site youll find NS in there somewhere.

    Trust me, we have plans, don't worry.  It would go against every PR bone in Mons E's body to let the release of NS come and go with barely a whisper.  

    And even CS was not as popular as it is now overnight.  It took a while for the fan base to grow that big.
