Well, health is boosted by much much more than armor is... Once armor is gone, you're screwed.
I think it will fall to the numbers to decide, common sense can be misleading.
Edit: Also, which is made better when you choose Sensory first for Focus? Probably Regen as Carapace relies on reaching healing zones and lack of Celerity will hurt immensely with that.
And then you have to consider downtime, since DCs still heal by a fixed number...

Some of the testers think the biggest improvement to Oni is redemption. With the HP and Armour increase you actually stick around long enough to hurt something and its close to impossible to kill. I still feel regen is better. Its up there as well, 80HP's a tick is pretty nasty.

Hahaha, you know thats true. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> Think of it as Onos Regen Version 2, and Onos Redemption Version 2. They are that much better in NS3.0 then in NS2.0s. Any way you cut it, Onos are tanks.
That being said, its so easy to hit an Onos that you can easily nail it with EVERY SINGLE ROUND from your rifle. You have 2 or 3 Rines shooting and the Onos will fall! (Most of the time faster then in 2.0.)
Isn't it kind of hard to miss the onos in 2.0? At 90 per tick (I think), they heal as fast as a marine with lmg can shoot at him... that means you need to have 4 marines with lmg firing on that onos as he patiently waits for you to completely empty your clip.

Lots of issues to work out.
