<div class="IPBDescription">How are the Onii doing lately?</div> As of 3.0b, the Onos recieved 900 HP and 500 AP, a big change IMO.
Now the question....how fast are they dropping now? (Unless of course there's some weird ping problems....in which case I can't get an answer)

The general pattern now in CO is seeing 3 or 4 onos after about 6 minutes, which in case you can kiss your cc and chances of winning goodbye. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
In classic though, they're <i>much</i> better than before. Stronger yes, but no so strong that two lvl 3 hmg's cant drop one quickly. Redemption onos are very tough to take out!
Im sure they'll be some changes to the CO onos, right now it looks like lvl requirements for high level life forms.
EX: Lerk-lvl3 Fade-lvl6 and Onos-lvl9
Well, thats a good thing since they redeem earlier right?
Plus it's a pretty hefty investment and they can't eat marines and redeem at the same time (ala 2.0 release)
Too bad in Co it's a bit overpowered....might want to make the level requirement for the Onos 7, seems like a reasonable level. I don't really think Lerks and Fades need a level requirement, since theyre not as powerful as the Onos now.
I hope the Onos makes people go Oh Noes this time <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
So let me get this straight, redemption Onii are now more dangerous, annoying, powerful etc. than before? Personally I found that they were tough enough before...
Basically do the redemption Onii ever drop?

I believe the only way to kill redempt oni is to kill them at their hive.
However, the downtime of the new onos is horridus...
If you have no DC's to help the healing process, the hive takes a minute or more to heal ya at 20 a tick.
I personally still love regen as it gives 81 a tick.
Wait...it regens THAT much?!
Makes healing at a hive much more easier. But I just hope Flayra removes bunnyhopping for Onii only. Fades really don't have any use for bunnyhop and Lerks....well....bleh. Gorges and skulks....dont mention it.
NOTE : <span style='color:red'> Please don't discuss about bunnyhopping being good/bad or I invite a mod to come and delete irrevelant posts and probably ask MonsE or some admin to drop your postcount to 1 <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> Just try and remain on-topic. </span>
You have been warned. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
But first of course, the saving!
Now back on the topic....yep sometimes a small fix can do big changes <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Wasn't that what it was supposed to be? It actually can die now thanks to weapon upgrades being more effective and such :/
Besides I think it fits the story. It's almost invincible, but not totally <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
1.04 onos....the good ol' days when you needed a miracle to get 3 hives....*sigh*
It was there to say:
"Okay aliens, if fades aren't enough for you, it's time to have a free win"
The new onos is pretty good, if anything I'd say it's weaker than the 2.01 onos but I need to test more.
The old 1.04 onos?
Dear lord, that thing owned, I have no clue of what you talk about.
Charge dealt close to 2000 dmg a second, and he was INCREDIBLY tough to kill...

It was only 2000 damage per second if you had ~100 fps...
As for the old Heavy Armour being weak, you heard the reasoning for making HA immune to spores?

Ah... those were the days!
"boy the way glen miller played, songs that made the hit parade..."
In NS Onos = The winnar! Hes awesome and scary again, ppl run from him and say "OH NO!!!"
In NS:C Onos = The Game ender Hes powerful and ppl look at their watches and say "We have only been playing for 3 mins, Onii already H4X"
He needs to be pushed back in levels in NS:C
In normal NS, Hes PERFECT!
Do you hear me Flayra
PERFECT (no changes needed)
Though the charge damage was a big factor in it, could take out a HA squad in around 6 seconds with good fps.
He's actually really good.
He can deal a ton of damage and you won't kill him, but on the other hand it takes a lifetime to fill up his HP again. Currently, he will run in, kill stuff, redeem, then he will sit at base from anywhere of 20 seconds to a minute ++ I wouldn't call that overpowered at all.
I wouldn't mind seeing redemption percentage being lowered for Onos specifically, and Carapace being boosted.. a lot. Bah @ redemption :|
and what does having a long time to heal at the hive have anything to do with anything?
If an onos comes and kills a few dudes and a building, and then goes back to heal, the marines will spawn in the guys who were killed and perhaps rebuild the building... and then the Onos comes back. One side is losing res while the other is gaining. That's not fair, especially given that the marines have ~0% chance of getting any RFK.
i, as aall other non-constelation players, are looking forward for all of this

Not perfect, but its better. Its much better than it was.
