What in the hell is your guys' problem? He's showing how an old book applies to NS, while giving some good strategies as well. You have NO reason to attack him.
Edit: Doh...just saw the rest of the forum... he should have made it all in one thread but still, flame == bad.

However, in our time, we have both text and voice communication. Use them. Use them often. Use them wisely. Keep the team in line with your voice. Provide status updates. As commander, let your team know the plan whenever possible. Call them by name... this not only raises moral, it improves discipline.
On the khaara side, scout and let your team know where the enemy is. Let your team know where you are, and what you are doing (gorging at thus and such place to put up a WoL)
When the hive mind tells you that a tower is under attack, or a structure is under attack, remember that it doesn't tell everyone WHICH tower or structure is under attack, and looking around for it takes a moment. If when you hear the warning, you look and see where the attack is, and vocally or textually communicate this to the rest of the team, they can get there significantly faster than if they had to get this information themselves. In fact, they usually WON'T get this information themselves (esp. on pubs) and will likely assume it's something minor unless you tell them otherwise.
Geez, you guys are uptight. I'm sorry Niteowl seems to be ruining your lives by "spamming" the boards, but some people actually enjoy his contributions.
However, your copy was translated 1910. From what I understand, most of the old translations are considered flawed or inconsistant compared to more recent translations. This is due to differences in anceint Chinese and modern chinese. Apparantly, most early translators used modern Chinese, when anceint Chinses is obviosly more appropriate. In some cases, ancient Chinese can have the opposite or completely different meaning as modern Chinese written in the same charaters (according to the author of my best Sun Tzu Translation). Also, Anceint chinese itself is no a fully understood language, even today. Even further, there is no known COMPLETE original copy of Sun~Tzu, and, beleieve it or not, some translators have been known to "adlib" the missing sections of the text, itstead of searching other copies for the missing charaters.
Anyhoo, kinda off-topic, but Sun Tzu is a very good read. I highly recommend it. Infact, It may be the best thing you read in a while considering what you can get from it if you have the patience.
However: 1) Make sure you read it more than once. You need to read it a few times for it to come together. 2) Read more than one translation. I, for example, read a "word-for-word" translation and 2 "interpretive" translations. No two translations are the same. 3) Make sure that it is a recent and accurate translation. The older ones are crappy!
Sorry about the off-topic and all, but Sun~Tzu really does kick ****.

Keep it up.
This way we dont have 6 threads by the same person and we make it easier for those who actually want to read this.
